If the weather is awful tomorrow does the TCIDPA match still happen?

I can't speak for Twin Cities IDPA, but in the five or six years I've been shooting IDPA down in Faribault I've never aborted the trip due to weather. Only once was it ever canceled; that was a due to an absolute monsoon. Other than that, it was very much 'rain or shine'. Of course maybe this club are wimps. ;)

If it is raining or more correctly thunderstorms we will cancel.

I would guess that given the forecast it may be cancelled, check the website or if you are on the mailing list you will be notified.

Twin Cities IDPA Saturday 8/18 Match is Cancelled

Based on the forecast for Saturday August 18 your officers are calling off the match. It's not that little rain would kill us, but the current forecast calls for a 75% chance of heavy rain and lightening from 7:00am on. We thought it best to post the cancel now and reschedule another date with the range.

Yeah, and the optimist's glass will be 100% full...of water. ;)

I'd really like to come out and watch the next IDPA match. It's something I'd really like to get involved with and I know jac714 won't stop bugging me about it until I join. :)

I brought rain gear. Bullets don't leak water, and jac714 isn't made out of sugar and spice.

I bet lightning would pop bullets though. That would be a waste of ammo, and we don't want that.

Good call.
