Range near Whitewater State Park, Altura MN

Is there any places to shoot at nearby? Closest I could find was http://www.smsclub.org/ but they're 35 mins out which is a little too far for me.

looking to take 3-4 respectful, experienced friends out with handguns and maybe a rifle or 2 at the end of May.

I believe that range requires a membership. It use to be free. Remember you can target shoot in the state firest as long as you are being safe. That range is pretty cheap though as I remember so it would be worth looking into any way. With all the snow it would be hard to shoot in the state forest

Ok no snow but you'll still need to look into membership info.

I wouldnt bet on it this year....
It is better to have a gun and not need it, than to need a gun and not have it.

It's a two hour drive one way. My wife's family comes from Winona County.

Lewiston Sportsmans Club & WInona Sportsmans Club are probably your closest option for legit clubs.

Winona: https://www.google.com/maps/place/22933 ... 3342f58078
I believe day passes for both clubs are available at Mainstream Firearms in Winona, but my info may be ~6 years out of date.

Holmen Rod & Gun would also be well worth the drive, but they're another ~20mi SE of Winona. Much more room to shoot by yourselves. Not sure if day passes are available though - ask Lucas @ Mainstream in Winona.
