Edited. Apparently the vote was 7-4 to remain closed. There are 7 Quislings....
Nothing to see here. Continue swimming.

I heard he'd extended the state of emergency, not the shutdown.

Not quite the same thing.

True; is there a difference in the result?

https://www.leg.state.mn.us/lrl/execorders/eoresults?gov=44

March 13 - declared a peacetime state of emergency
March 25 - issued a stay-at-home order until April 10
April 8 - extended the stay-at-home order to May 3
April 13 - extended the state of emergency to May 13

The actions that the state government has been engaged in, and the exemptions to normal regulatory processes will need to continue, after the stay-at-home order expires. And it's been 30 days since the original declaration, so a 30-day renewal is only to be expected.

So what does this mean for the stay-at-home order?

Nothing at all.

He may extend it, he may not. My guess is, that just like he followed Trump when Trump extended his order, Walsh will follow Trump again.

And while I'm certain that the public health officials in DC are terrified of taking responsibility for ending the quarantine, I don't think Trump is.

Absolutely unbelievable. How is this not up for a member vote?

Ridiculous. I dropped out of that club about 15 years ago, but if I was still a member, I’d be demanding a prorated refund of dues for every day the club is voluntarily closed to member use.

They only extended it because they can't figure out how to sign up members for range duty anyway.

I'll be looking for 10 percent of my dues back, and climbing.

What a bunch of self righteous idiots. A social and moral obligation? How about fear of a lawsuit? From your members, or someone who caught a sniffle.

I've seen less separation in parks than I have whenever I go shoot. My job requires me to be in contact with the public. If I want to shoot someplace I've paid dues, wearing a mask and at less risk than shopping at Cub, how about it's open?

Good catch! I am still really frustrated with the incompetence of the last couple of years when it comes to this issue.

Can’t they just share a signup sheet through google docs?

Apparently not. Last year we had to go to the club during business hours and physically sign up on paper which was better than the year before when we emailed one guy who rarely responded with when we were looking to sign up and then after he would finally email back that you were signed up he would forget to record it so then it would get resigned up for for the same time. Great system.

It's a "no" they can't. Apparently, anyways. Seems like a fine idea.

Not to mention the option to email the VP which I did requesting two dates. No reply so later signed up in the check in room. Get email (Thursday if I remember correctly) that I am expected Saturday for Range Duty. Called to straighten out. Next month same thing happens again.

I appreciate everything Teresa does, but couldn't we just call and work with her on our dates?
