You forgot getting liquor.

All the parks are open, and crowded, there was no reason to close a private club. They could have just said "no more than X people on a range at a time, make sure you put 2 benches between shooters." Or something like that.

No kidding. Washington Cty has waived entrance fees to their parks. The Lake Elmo Park Reserve, right behing OGC, is as crowded on weekdays as when they hold weekend events. It has been a favorite place of mine, but the current crowds are very unusual...people should stay home...

I’m fine trying to organize a BOD coup again...but we need to NOT have two guys back out like last time.

I have thought about it. I am an hour away from the club so I don't think I could commit to a board position but count me in for the vote side at the annual meeting.

If you want to replace the Board, you need to answer a couple of questions.

  • What is the current Board doing wrong?
  • What would you do different?

I never considered getting involved, but after this I am. I'm 10 minutes away.

• they closed the club
• not close the club, which is a private, outdoor facility.

There have been times in the past when I considered getting involved on the board. The make up of the board has always convinced me to keep my distance.
Now, I'm committed to too many time sucks to be fair to the membership, or myself.
I've never really studied who are the members of the club that actually vote, but somehow the board, and the current...modus operandi, has ben in place almost my entire membership.
For some reason, shortly after I joined, most of the cool kids quit hanging out there.
