SCAPSA (USPSA/IPSC by St. Cloud)

I just got back from the SCAPSA match. There were 50+ shooters and six stages. We started shooting at 1000, had lunch around 1400, and left by 1500. I'm not sure if they will be scheduling any more matches for this year. Website here.

Hope you had a good time. There was lots of rounds required and quite a few of moving targets to shoot at.

That was it. No more weekend shoots this year at SCAPSA. We have two more Tuesday night shoots and then we're done for the year. We should be starting back up, hopefully, in March.
Yeah, but I shoot with THIS hand.

I liked those matches I attended a few years ago. I think it was the Tuesday (or Thursday) evening matches. Not living in Becker any more and the loathing of Del-Tone/Luth management has gotten me away from those matches.

SCAPSA owns their own range and has no ties to the DPMS Del Tone Luth range you are referring to. SCAPSA's range is located off I-94 by the Clearwater exit . Twin Cities IDPA used to shoot at Del Tone Luth, but they no longer allow organized handgun competitions.

Bob, I [b]think[/] I saw you at those shoots. There was some guy that lived in St Cloud that was running them. He was with the St Cloud USPSA/ IPSC. I think his name was Bob, also. That was three, maybe four years ago, now. IIR, the shoots started at 5:00.

A few years ago Del-Tone used to have a weeknight USPSA league, also. I do believe it was Thursday nights. And it was run by a Bob.

SCAPSA's (USPSA) weeknight league, by Clearwater, has always been on a Tuesday night. Also run by a Bob. But a totally different Bob. http://www.scapsa.org/

Confused? Tune in next week.

Yes, that Bob is a much better shooter than I every hope to be, but I'm better looking! Wait, I'm not, but I'm younger and try to run Twin Cities IDPA with the same grace and style as the other Bob runs the SCAPSA club.

LOL, Keith. Yeah, you knew about the league that was at Del-Tone. I did look up SCAPSA'S site and it appears that the Bob that runs the Clearwater league is a Bob Mills. I forget the other Bob's last name. I have his email address somewhere on a computer down in the basement.

BTW, Bob, any ideas of another winter league at Bill's North (or other ranges) for this winter??

Saw Chunkstyle at Bills on Sunday and he asked the same thing. I have no desire or time to do that again, but I'm sure Ryan and Jon would be open to it if someone wanted to organize a league this year. It was popular but the IDPA chapter consumes my time at this point, so anyone want to volunteer to talk with Bill's and see what is possible.
