IMPT UPDT -Defensive Class, Cokato MN RESCHEDULE TO OCT 14

Maybe some day we can build a covered 25-yard range at Cokato --- like the one they have at Oakdale.

Grrr....I think the weather, as it turned out, notwithstanding the 90% chance of rain showers throughout the day, would have been fine. It looks like the day was not the 90%, but the 10%. Go figure.

They where right here, or pretty close in the Mankato area. 3 of us went to shoot 100 rounds of sporting clays on Sunday morning, started raining between station number 1 & 2 of a fourteen station course and did not quit.

We did have the whole course to ourselves though.

This class is now officially recheduled for Oct 14th.

Range is confirmed, no conflicts.

Details for Sunday
Mostly cloudy. Highs in the upper 50s and lows in the low 40s.

Will make for a great day of moving and shooting.

Brats and burgers to be provided for lunch.

With winter coming, a possible PPOTH and looking to move in December, not likely to have another until spring after this class.

She just took her carry class today, and our trusted sitter (Grandma) is out of town next weekend...
I'll petition for me attending anyway.

Normally Paul and I will teach this together, however, I do teach it on occasion without him.

With the cancellation due to rain, this date worked I out teach it alone.

Yup..FarmerJ is taking the solo flight. Other than the personalities involved, Jon and I both took the basic FR&I instructor training from Steve Silverman at the same time. We are both strong advocates of his philosophy anc curriculum. Jon also brings many years of military small arms training to the table also adds a perspective that many other instructors lack. Jon and I work together not nearly enough as we have way too much fun. We both have "standing invitations" to attend each other's MCPPA classes, and I know that Old Dude and I always enjoy his unique perspective when he comes to our classes. I think that FJ and I make a PDGT and we try to mesh our schedules as best as we can, but....this time that ^%%^& rain forecast messed things up.
