That's usually set up by the sponsoring law enforcement agency. Through the Metro SWAT School, I've done it for MPD, SPPD, US Marshalls and others, but nothing planned this year.

If you are interested in some force-on-force training, I have a program ready to go, just let me know and I can schedule something.

What about the equipment? Obviously in a traditional firearms class the student provides their own firearm. I do not have an air soft gun, and don't know anything about them.

Do you have them available for student use for a small group/agency, or would we have to look into purchasing some. Any input on types/models? Can you use standard holsters?

I'm just trying to get a feel for how realistic it is. Thanks.

I have all the equipment neccessary to outfit a class of up to 10 for Force-on-Force. Here is a typical syllabus:

Welcome & Intro
Safety Breifing
Conflict Avoidance and De-Escalation Techniques
Pre-Attack Indicators
Reacting to Attacks
- Postioning
- Draw and Challenge
- Post-Shooting Procedures
Scenarios

The guns are all replicas of the real thing. Same size, same controls, etc. I use mainly Glocks, but I also have some Sigs, Beretta, and M1911s. They are gas-powered and fire the standard Airsoft 6mm plastic BB. When the gun is fired, the slide recoils just like the real thing. Everything is sized the same as the real thing, so you can use the same holsters and magazine pouches you do in real life.

All participants wear face protection, goggles, and gloves. A long-sleeve sweatshirt is recommended, as shots can break unprotected skin at close range. For some close range/contact drills, we use "dry" guns (no BBs) or Blue Guns for added safety.

Students begin by practicing defensive movements, such as parrying, sidestepping, and otherwise avoiding an attack, combined with the draw and presentation of the pistol. As we progress, students engage "bad guy" roleplayers armed with training weapons. We finish with scenarios for each student, including conflict avoidance, verbal challenge, engaging the bad guys, and post-shooting procedures.

I have a local dealer I work with, he's an ex Honolulu cop and speaks fluent Chinese (useful for working with overseas retailers). If you want to buy anything send me a PM and I'll put you in touch with him.

Had a great class today. Excellent weather for late March, Mid-30s and sunny with most of the snow melted (on the range, anyway).

Overall, a great day at the range! Looking forward to more of the same this summer.

Yesterday's class was great! Thanks to everyone who showed up and dealt with the snow, and later mud - as well as the cold.

The weather was a challenge, but good training for Minnesota (and those of you who drove in from North & South Dakota).

Pics and video should up up by the end of next week.
