... yer probly still a "D" ... I wouldn't waste the money! ;)

Being unfamiliar with USPSA classifications does "D" stand for "Da Bomb"

I'd like to get training like this since I plan to do 3-gun and USPSA pistol events this summer. But I have no actual competition experience - well the upcoming March 3-gun I suppose by then. Just defensive shooting courses and range time is what I have at this time. I'm guessing I should take a pass on this round - or let me know if there is room for a eager and motivated learner!

We still have a couple of openings left in the class. You should be familiar with USPSA rules and have shot some pistol matches or 3-gun.

Forecast says Rain/snow with highs in the 40's. AWESOME!!!!

I will bring proper attire, an open mind, and a willing attitude.

Ron, for the bays are they good to go with normal boots or do I need knee high rubber boots to keep the water out.

The bays are sand floor and pretty dry, I'd be surprised if you would need the rubber boots but this is MN. I'd throw them in the truck and if we have a chance I'll show you the tactical shotgun course.

Any chance we could shoot the shotgun course at all on Sunday?

Nothing is set up, it's just a trail through the woods at this point.

Wow that was an awesome weekend. Thanks Ron for organizing, and thanks Ben for completely demoralizing me but giving me lots to work on.

Really enjoyed spending time with the squad that hung out all weekend, and look forward to shooting some matches with you guys (and gal!) soon!

Now, what do to about my sudden desire to run a limited Glock instead of my XDm....

I just got out of the tub. :P

Thanks to everyone that was involved in getting that class to happen. Ben should make a mid-season reappearance.

Joel, if you see this PM me. I'm interested in that 9mm paper killer you have.

I have never taken a competition training class before and this class was way more than I expected. I really liked that there was no "shoot it this way", it was always "what are the options here, and which do you prefer, and most importantly why?" I have been to a lot of classes on various subjects, where you are taught to do things a certain way because that is the way it should be done, this is the first class where the instructor went deeper than that and asked that you try different ways for yourself and you soon found which was the best way for you. Job well done.

The folks I was able to shoot with were awesome. There was an unbelievable increase in shooting skills in such a short time. I for one, even thought that I might try some handgun only competitions in the near future, it was fun. My confidence level for stage breakdown, and then the shooting of the stage as planned is much higher now and should serve me well in the 3-gun matches. I also found that a lot of the drills we ran with the handgun would translate to the rifle and shotgun almost as well.

Ron thanks for putting on the class and provided lunch (you guys missed out on Mike's stew, it was awesome), and Ben thanks for coming up and teaching the class. This was an investment into my competition shooting future that I should have made years ago.

I'd like to thank you all for coming out and being part of the class, the weather on day 1 could have been better but can't control it for matches either. Ben is a unique instructor and a real student of the game.

If there is interest in having Ben come back mid season let me know.

Thanks

Super jealous of those who went. My scheduling didn't work out but I'm sure I would have learned a ton. Glad to hear you guys had a great time who did go.
