MN Permit to Carry and Basic Pistol classes at Lakes Trading

Lakes Trading Co in Forest Lake, MN is offering MN Permit to carry classes as well as Ladies Only Intro to Pistol shooting. All classes are held at our indoor range facility so there is no need to shoot outside this winter. All classes are taught by the owner of Lakes Trading and certified USCCA Instructor Ben Oliver.

MN Permit to Carry Certification Course: Fee $100 (tax included)

Classes are held on Saturday Mornings with the occasional class on a weekday evening. We look at far more than just what the MN state statues say about carrying a firearm. We look at problem avoidance, physical reactions to stressful situations, shooting technique and legal ramifications of using your firearm in self defense and more. Any skill level is welcome in this class but we encourage you not to make this your first firearms class as it is not a course on shooting fundamentals. As class sizes are limited we are requiring a $50 deposit to reserve your seat.

Intro to Pistol Shooting Class: Fee $90 (tax included)

This course is for the beginner pistol shooter (16 and older). We look at types of firearms and how they function, types of ammunition, grip and stance and more. We finish our time in the range shooting a variety of firearms (.22lr pistol, 38spl revolver, 9mm semi auto). Ammunition, range time, use of firearms and eye and ear pro are included. After class is complete you are welcome to continue shooting in the range (firearm rental is included provided that you purchase a box of ammunition). We require a $45 deposit to reserve a seat.

February 4th 5pm-10pm. Qualifying to be done prior to class or by appointment on another day.
February 8th 8am-2:30pm LADIES ONLY CLASS

Intro to Pistol Shooting
January 31st 5pm-9pm LADIES ONLY
February 22nd 10am-12:30pm
