QSI Force on Force: Self Defense Scenarios: January 10, 2015

Looking for something interesting to start off the new year?

This training event provides a series of scenario-based exercises where you can practice your defensive pistol skills against live opponents in a dynamic Force-on-Force environment. Blue Guns, Airsoft and other training weapons will be used. This law-enforcement training facility features an indoor training space with several different scenario rooms.

Highlights from December's Force on Force class:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9J3rHw42O8

Required Equipment: - Paintball/Airsoft mask with full face protection. You can pick these up at most sporting goods stores.

The following equipment is recommended. If you have your own, we appreciate you bringing it, but we will have enough "loaner" gear for the class.
- Protective gloves
- Airsoft Gun, BBs and Gas
- Blue Gun/Red Gun training gun
- Rubber training knife
- Long-sleeve shirt (hoodies or sweatshirts work great) and pants
- Knee/elbow pads

This program includes some physical contact and roleplaying with other participants.

We hope you can join us for this unique training opportunity!

If you can take this class DO IT!
This would be ideal for a "New Years Resolution" to improve yourself.

I've done this type of training with Gabe Suarez, and also offer my own unarmed training with force on force practice.
This is something anyone with a carry permit should experience at least once.
Let me make a training comparison between unarmed/martial arts and firearms training . . .

Most everyone here has gone to a shooting range and shot up pieces of inanimate paper targets at set distances. No pressure (except maybe a timer) and no threat to us. This is very comparable to a boxer or martial artist striking a punching bag at the gym. It develops certain attributes (speed, power, technique, & accuracy) but does nothing to simulate a real fight (mental and physiological reactions experienced when facing a live opponent that is a mobile, thinking, physical threat to us).

Force on force pistol training adds that realism, forcing us to act more like we are in a real gunfight, as opposed to punching holes in paper. This is the equivalent to a martial artist in the ring with an opponent. Live action (yet controlled for safety).

Think the skills you have are good enough? Maybe.
This will give you a good pressure test and you'll learn and become more confident in your skills.
