To anyone from TCCarry who has dropped by to see why this thread has generated the interest it has from the thread "looking for a Quality Permit Instructor". I would like to clear up a few points.

Very few of us have had Mr.Penaz as our instructor. We are not in the business of pimping one instructor over another in general. There are many excellent instructors who post on both sites.

Our objection arises out of the nature in which the OP of this thread has characterized some folks and his lack of judgement in his treatment of many in the carry community. He has attempted to portray himself as THE voice of the Minnesota Carry Community but instead of being a voice of Unity he has chosen a path of division and separatism. Instead of inclusiveness, he has chosen what he calls parody and ostracism. None of this is in the best interest of our cause.

It is his vindictiveness and malicious behavior which has caused so many of us to respond as we have. Joel has stated that I was banned obstensively for being a "family" friend of Joe Penaz. If you call knowing his older brother thru jointly patronizing a now defunct Hopkins gun shop occaisonally being a family friend, I guess I am guilty of that. Prior to just a couple of weeks ago, I had met him EXACTLY twice in my life.


The truth is that Joel took great exception to one of his moderators calling for some civilty and moderation in some of the language and content being posted about Mr Penaz and I stepped up and called Joel on his treatment of that moderator. I was banned for saying it was unkind and peckish to openly insult that moderator in the manner in which he did so. Joel's attack was unwarranted and unprovoked. A forum moderator is just that, someone who applies "moderation" to the subjects at hand. The Moderator in question was simply doing his job, openly, fairly, and without any histronics or drama. However, just doing this was too much for Joel and he lashed out at that person in a personal and malevolent manner. When I posted that I felt it was inappropriate, I was banned.

So before you head back to his site and take on more of his derision and bovine fecal matter, please understand this, in spite of his monumental ego infusing much of what goes on over there, there are many good things going on there. Prof Olson, AKA Kimberman * (I can "out" him, because he regularly signs his posts with his name,) is a TREMENDOUS asset to the Carry Community, having written most of the law we now have on this, as well as having carried the torch for years when no one was really listening and he is always worth listening to and paying attention to his posts. DonL, Cobb, PlBlark and many others there are good solid Grade A people who are truly valuable for "our" side, not my side, or the MNguntalk side, but Second Amendment and Carry side. So before you accept all that Joel says, use some judgement, use some of those rational reading skills your teachers worked so hard to make you learn, and spend some time learning what really is going on.

I have warned and banned joel on the training posts under rule 1. In my opinion the postings are trolling since the classes have not been listed on his own site as of now and may never be.

Furthermore Bender warned him for posting private info (rule 3)

joelr is on a 30 day ban

If anyone has any problems with this take it up with the site owner.
