This was the first time I was able to attend one of Don's classes. I have been fortunate to attend a number of excellent training classes, Tony Caspers Advanced Carry classes, Massad Ayoob's LFI I and Advanced Stressfire, John Farnam's Basic/Intermediate and Advanced Handgun, etc in the past.

I have to say I see why Don has the excellent reputation he does, he has earned it. The price was more than fair even without the lunch and snacks being provided, and round count was spot on at around his 350 estimate. Ably assisted by Dorian he took us thru a series of drills that were well presented, useful and good learning experiences. I learned a few new things and was able to reinforce and improve on some existing skills.

I liked the one on one coaching and that the class attendees were obviously screened and Dofus free ( pet peeve, folks in the class who don't have the experience or skills to be there, often they add poor attitude, being offended when the instructor attempts to coach them or just correct bad habits) . We only had 10 folks and all shoot well and deserved to be in a level three class.

Bottom line, I'd recommend Don's classes and training approach to anyone seeking to improve their defensive pistol skills. Nice job Don and Dorian, thank you!

PS Benny was also in attendance and he is a wealth of knowledge on a wide variety of firearms and great stories.

I have been trying to find time all morning to write a class review. Now that Bob has done it, I can add my second to this being a class to look at too further your gun handling skills under great instruction. If your considering it, talk with Don about your skill level to see if it is a fit or start with Level I or II. Great job Don and Dorian.

It did make for a smooth class without Dofus on the class roster.

It was a good class with some very interesting drills to learn some new skills and other drills to brush up on old skills. It was a great group of shooters to spend the day with and learn from each other, and yes as always, there was a fair amount of light hearted ribbing and laughs as the day progressed.

Thanks Don and Dorian, when is level 4?

A good scrape the rust off day, lots of shooting, a good bunch of students and a great staff.

Thanks Don.

Another fantastic class. An eye opener for sure. A lot of real world defensive handgun skills to work on. Don and Dorian did a great job.

Level 4?

Thank you Don and Dorian for hosting Defensive Handgun 3. I enjoyed the class very much. Our little friends (pcv tubes covering one hand)sure brought on another level of skill. Plus various other shooting positions enhanced our skills and challenged us throughout the day. I would strongly recommend any person interested in enhancing their shooting skill to take this class from Don.
Thanks again

I believe we are out of town on 8/08/09 but I'd like to catch a DHT 1 before the end of the year if at all possible.

I ended up with someones IWB holster in my bag this time. Shoot me a pm and we can figure out how to get it to you.

There seems to be a pattern developing here. Last class I ended up with Don's ears in my bag.
