Yes. But...
If you qualify for Rifleman and...
If there is time and...
If the range allows it and...
If the range is available...
If the instructors are willing...
they will take you to shoot at longer ranges.

I wouldn't count on it at any one event.

I believe there is going to be one at Oakdale in May. It's not on the sign up page yet.

I believe that to be the case as well. I think they're working out the scheduling. May is a busy month out at OGC.

I'd pencil it in for May 8 and 9 and wait for official confirmation.

I am up for one this year, and I think I have 1 or 2 friends that might as well. Working on finishing loading out my 10/22 with the recommended tweaks. Any further word on Elk River as a possible location, DeanC? Otherwise Oakdale looks like it.

actually considering an appleseed for the "experience"...

If I understand this:

Being in the guard, you do have to pay the $70 fee? Does that include Retired?

From a 2010 flyer:

Shooters under 21, active military (including reserves and guard), and women shoot free.

Separate host range fees may apply.

I'm guessing retired doesn't count as active.

Correct. It's been discussed but for now, "retired" doesn't qualify for the freebie.
