Anyone offer ND permit to carry classes in the Twin Cities?

Postby solidgun on Tue Oct 25, 2011 6:07 am

Anyone offer ND permit to carry classes in the Twin Cities? I just noticed that my permit has expired on the 23rd. I would like the Class 1 permit renewal.

If not, I guess I will do the UT one.

Also, a quick question on the side: how far in advance can you renew your MN permit?

Thank you.

Mine does not expire until 11/2013, so if I took the advantage of taking the multi-state class, I wanted to know if I can use that for renewal well ahead of that 90-day.

I believe that you need to take the class with-in a year of your renewal date.

That is what I thought. I guess I will look for individual out of state classes here then if I can't find ND permit renewal.

Was your original instructor a NRA certified instructor? Do you otherwise qualify for a Florida License? ND honors a Florida permit so you may not have to take another class.

Here's FL's eligibility: http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/firear ... ation.html
private or small grou permit classes available

I had completely forgotten about the FL permit. I have certificates for NRA instructor training in multiple disciplines. I assume that will cover the requirement?

Although you do not need to know the answer anymore, the answer to the question "does anyone do the ND process here in the Twin Cities?" is a 100% "no". All ND classes, for class 1 or class 2, must be done within ND.

Also, before sending off to FL, look at the coverage for AZ....(unless you need to be covered in FL) it is a better option.

I appreciate any and all information that is useful. I am a knowledge junkie.

Thank you everyone.
