sealed mindest

Has anyone been through this training? I have been getting emails about classes and wanted input before I spend the money. Looks to be more female or couples based? And what range do they train in?

I have a friend who is one of their instructors... He knows his stuff... But I have never taken any of their courses, so I can't give much input beyond that.

There is not much out there on them except some Spy date class. Which I do not get.
Wondering if they train out of Bills.

I have taken a couple of classes from them and they do know their stuff. I think that their classes have changed a bit since they started up, as they have targeted a different type of student base (Date night, James Bond adventure etc.). If you can get into the basic/advanced pistol/carbine type of class you should be happy with the instruction. They do have a facility in New Hope that you can shoot at and they did have access to the LE training facility in Jordan.

Not seeing those classes on the website. Under the firearms courses it says date night and what women want. There address says new hope, google states the company name is Renew Resources Range Systems.
Thinking I will find my training some where else, unless I want to make a "date" out of it.

There are a lot of instructors on this site, post what you're looking for and I'm willing to bet someone will answer.
(I am not an instructor, just to clarify.)

I know they just had Ernest Emerson in town doing knife training a couple of weeks ago....Most likely not anything to do with dates or being girly. ;) :P

They do not train at Bill's. They have their own private, heated range for classes behind the building. Very knowledgeable and informed staff. I think it depends what you are looking for out of training as to what you will get. They focus on practical, defensive skills with a handgun, rifle or shotgun, nothing competition based unless you request private.

Are you and huntingmn99 the same person?

I see you are posting from the same IP address... And both joined today... And have both only posted about the same topic...

My name is Larry Yatch I am the CEO of Sealed Mindset. I will gladly field any questions concerning our training programs or facilities.

I am not interested in advertising our services here, as that does not seem to be the intent of the forum, so I will only provide answers to questions.

I am a medically retired Navy SEAL officer. I spent over 10 years in the SEAL teams on the West Coast. I led multiple combat deployments in Iraq, Southeast Asia, and Lebanon. I competed on a national level in IPSC for 4 years at the US Naval Academy. I was injured multiple times on two major operations. I subsequently went through 7 surgeries and 2 years of rehab, ending in my medical retirement.

I started Sealed Mindset with my wife who has a masters in International Security and Counter-terrorism from Georgetown University, 4 years ago.

Our intent in starting this company was to provide a complete solution for those interested in personal safety. Our company provides both web-based educational resources for individuals and companies as well as armed personal defense skills.

We concentrate solely on defensive firearms use.

We have innovative training based on the more than $5M of training the Navy has put me through over the last 20 years and the more than 1.5M rounds I have fired in my lifetime.

We offer training from beginner to advanced (low light shooting, off-handed shoot/reloads/malfunctions, internal movement, team movement, carbine, tactical shotgun, etc.). All of our training programs involve classroom, programmed dryfire with laser equipped weapons, live fire, and force on force simulations.

Yes, you have read that correctly: ALL of our training includes those practical techniques, even our basic PTC class.

We run our facility out of the Range Systems (Renew Resources) building and a custom designed, mobile 3-lane shooting trailer.

My mission is to provide the knowledge, training, and facilities necessary to equip everyone with the confidence to protect themselves.

I have found that most enthusiasts, such as yourselves, will search out solid training; yet most people who are scared or intimidated by firearms will not. It is my belief that those people are the ones that need the most help. So we have designed programs that allow individuals who are not enthusiasts to feel comfortable enough to become involved. That is why we run programs like "Spy Date".

Do not let the window dressing fool you, our training is world-class and I will personally guarantee your satisfaction. We will always refund anyone's money that is unsatisfied. To date (12 months of operation) we have serviced over 700 individuals and have yet to have anything but glowing reviews. The reason you do not see those reviews on the forums is because the vast majority of those clients have never picked up a gun before.

I imagine that would make all of you happy to know that there are 700 new, well trained, firearms enthusiasts out there.

I am very open about our training philosophy and have very little ego involved, so feel free to ask any questions or pass any criticisms my way and I will be glad to respond.

Sincerely,
Larry Yatch

Larry... Since you're posting from the same IP as the above two, are they associated with your company also?

Seems like you are either asking yourself questions, or having your employees ask you questions just so you can answer them...and advertise...

If you look at my history with this forum I have never posted an advertisement.

I have solely used it to read the community's opinions to stay current.

I have lived a life dedicated to Honor, Courage, and Commitment.

I have given a great deal of blood for this country and take offense to the accusation that I or anyone in my employ would be dishonest.

huntingmn99's comments are not beneficial to our business. I have sent a private message asking them to clarify their identity, as I have no idea who they are.

Token246 is an employee who responded to this thread after it was forwarded by one of our clients.

The reply just provided clarification and did not solicit any business.

Token246 then brought this matter to my attention so that I could address it.

I am confused as to why as a community we would not want to promote solid training or local firearms based small businesses.

Is that not how we become a stronger and more safe community?

Feel free to contact me in person at larry@sealedmindset.com.
