recommend a ptc instructor in AZ or how to find a good one?

Timing has worked out to be short. Father needs to take a permit class but they winter in AZ and will be leaving shortly.

Wondering if by slight chance anyone can recommend a trustworthy instructor in AZ? He will be four months there so waiting until he returns to iowa is not desirable.

I also knew phorvick used to but not sure if still does. This would be the Phoenix/Mesa area.

Somewhat confused on why he needs a permit when AZ allows all non prohibited people to carry in that state.

If he wants a permit and lives in IA get it there and then apply for AZ if it provides other states he wants.

Again, maybe I am missing something, but waiting to take the training and then applying for it and waiting to get it, seems to kind of defeat the purpose.

You may well know more than I do so correct me if i am wrong. According to handgunlaw.us you still need a permit to carry in certain places (alcohol serving places for one).

He wants to have the option to carry asap lets say. So he is leaving in 5 days for AZ. It is not likely we will be able to find him an Iowa class in that time. So he either constitutional carries in AZ with above exclusions, or he takes a class that meets both AZ and IA requirements and then he can apply for permits asap and not four months from now if he waits to begin the process in Iowa.



The Iowa ptc will happen, just not in the next five days.
