If you have ANY idea how hard I tried to hold things together, you wouldn't make such a foolish remark.

You seem to be mistaking the precipitating issue for the behavior. The fracture didn't come from speaking openly about public information; it came from very bad behavior on ALL sides of the intramural infighting.

Let me clarify that: Talking publicly about a thug with a badge didn't fracture the community; the fracture came from several parties' inability to agree to disagree on the issue. It came from very poor behavior on the part of a host and many of his guests. And look what it's gotten us. I hardly think it was worth it.

I do understand the uncomfortable position you were put in, and I apologize for my brash and ungentlemanly statement.

Since we've already wandered far from the original topic, I'd just like to add that what happened was one of the ugliest train wrecks I've seen in quite a while. You could see it coming, and there wasn't a thing you could do about it. If I were at work and saw that, I'd hit the little alarm to summon security.

I hope the damage and bad feelings caused can be set aside when the best interests of the carry community are involved. I hope that, but I'm not sure I can expect that.
