should be ok. the very first time I went I had avery crappy canvas Uncle Mikes. Not good for drawing the pistol but I shot from a ready position. As long as you can draw and the gun doesn't fall out you should be good to go. A little time with someone on proper draws is generally a good idea.

I know a guy who uses his in IDPA, so yeah, it'll work just fine for this. I seem to recall that XD package comes with a mag carrier too, so you should be all set. See ya there!

I _THINK_ I'll make it on April 17. I have to take care of something in Roseville until 8:30am so I will not get to the range until ~10:30 am but I'll help where I can once I get there and help tear down.

Thanks again Benny and China for putting this on and to all the people who help run it and keep things moving.

Can I use a 7 shot revolver? Is power factor in effect?

Yes, you can use a 7-shot revo. No, there is no power factor. However, there will be steel targets that must fall.

I see that the 1st steel shoot of the year falls on the same day as the next SCAPSA USPSA match. :(
Yeah, but I shoot with THIS hand.

I'm sure Selurcspi will claim he didn't know that. Sun-Tzu said that battle is only necessary when strategy fails.

this may explain the extra five or ten seconds that get mysteriously added to your times in a couple weeks... ;) ;)

but I giggled out loud, so my times might suffer some unknown penalty too! :(

but at least I think I have enough ammo made to get me thru this steel shoot (unless my aim REALLY sucks worse than normal)! Here's hoping for nice weather that day...

Sadly, Benny doesn't need any tricks to deal with the likes of you and me. The only strategy that's worked for me against Benny is the voodoo doll that looks like his gun.

I feel good when I give him a run for his money for the first 3 targets in the man vs man! (I'd be tempted to suggest that he needs a handicap like doing one-handed reloads, but I figure he'd still be faster than me anyway!!! :o )

The club gives me the dates and we just run with them.
Maybe next year I can get to the scheduling meeting and bargain a bit more, but I'd need everyone’s calendars before I go!

I went to the Board meeting tonight, all is well with the club and the dates will be posted on the club calendar.
