My wheel gun is a S&W M29, but it's set up for the Combat League at Metro with a Tasco red dot. Is that OK for the shoot on Sat, or do I need to remove the red dot and go back to iron sights? (The old eyes do a lot better with the red dot!)

No problem, you'll probably be competing against Selurcspi's super-duper red-dot-wearing compensated 625, which I think uses guided ammo -- I just haven't caught China with the laser designator yet.

So if I bring my XDsc9 and my 1911 I'll be ok right??

I know some steel you can't shoot with .45? Have all FMJ ammo. Only 2 mags for my 1911 though.

Looking forward to meeting you guys. See ya in the AM.

Will be my first steel shoot ever, so don't make fun!

Oh ****... almost forgot. I need a holster for my 1911.

If anyone could let me borrow one for the shoot that would be great!

I haven't gotten around to buying one just yet.

What size 1911? I have an IWB for a 5" and an OWB for a 4". I also have a double mag pouch you can use. Say the word and I will bring them.

Damn Strad, wish I seen you posted this. Thx for the offer!

Unfortunately a friend needed some help on his vehicle and I'm the poor sap that gave in.

This is the 2nd time I've planned for a steel shoot and never made it.

I WILL be there next month!

Wentout to Gopher today and watched the shoot for a couple hours/ I could not get there in time to shoot. It looked like it would be pretty fun. A lot more people then I expected. Talked to one of the guys out there. It looks like something I would enjoy. Ihope you do it in 2011. I will be in Montana for the October date this year.

It may be just a little hard to recover your brass the way this winter is going in February or March! It might even be tough in April too. :freezin:
