Yeah, and I'd LOVE to see the standings if Benny were removed. It ain't gonna happen. ;)

OK, you guys, but I only have time for this 'cause I'm unemployed.

Paul, yes, you were downright average on stages 1-3 (well OK, actually semi good on stage 1). And Joe, no need to exclude Benny, if you only look at stage 4 you're the champ! And if I only look at stage 3 I'm right up there in 30th place! Woohoo!

Thanks pat...the stage i felt the most horrid shooting wasn't my worst. I just couldn't resist shooting at the bonus plate on stage 2!

I saw a few people shooting for what seemed like 4 or 5 seconds at that 2-second-bonus plate. :)

Pat, That was the Idea!

What I'm about to write isn't supposed to be an insult to anyone, so please don't take it that way.

The bonus plate is really a "think on your feet" exercise, can I gain the 2 seconds without wasting more than 2 seconds.
For those who don't even consider shooting it, it's a testament to how poorly you rate your own skills, to those who consider it but pass, you're on the right track, work on your skills to be able to make the shot. Some shooters will keep shooting way after they've lost 2 seconds, good job in the attempt, you need more work on understanding how long 2 seconds is, under stress. For those who take a quick shot and see if they can by luck gain the 2 seconds and lose the minimum amount of time, that's a valiant effort but consider using your skill rather than luck, lastly for the shooters who use a half to a second to fire a sighted shot and gain a hit (and the bonus time), you're doing the right thing, utilizing the options available to you and thinking under stress.

Well that's my rationale for putting the bonus target out there.

That's a LOT of words to say: " I like to see who's confident, who's overconfident, and who will fall for my evil trap."

But your version left more room for improvement and indications where we all need to practice so I guess it can stay :-)

On a serious note:

Thanks Benny. Thanks a lot. I learn something at EVERY steel shoot. Not always something fun or flashy, but usually something different showing me where I need to work. The places I need to work on are not the fun and the flashy, they're the boring, painstaking, and repetitive (off handed shooting seems to be on the list :-)). But I'd sure rather learn them at the steel shoot than any other way.
