Some that have been DQ'd have quit at that point. If you've been DQ's, learn from it! Don't quit!

Some that have became safe shooters that are better than me (OK, that doesn't take much!).

If you talk to most of the vetern competition shooters, they will tell you there are two types of people.

Those that have been DQ'd, and those that haven't.

Yet.

Like Sky said. If it happens, treat as a learning experience and move forward.

A big thanks to Mike, Eric, Bruce, and the 4th gent who's name I don't know(my apologies) for getting the season off to a good start.
Mike especially put his time and energy into making this happen, and thus suggested everyone on the board suck-up a bit,
I thought I'd be 1st. :thankyou:
Great job guys.

Yes thanks to everyone that will organize and run this league. Hopefully I will be able to at least get a few weeks in. All depends on how work falls into place.

Good presentation.

'New Shooter Orientation' is accurate description.

I got up to speed at Oakdale this summer and this was a nice run-through of the fundamentals.

My 'Left-Field' idea of wanting to shoot with my Carry Gun, Kel-Tec PF-9 instead of the more refined Glock 30 was encouraged.
The presenter (in blue shirt) said he shot a whole season with a Glock 36 (single stack .45)

I think those 'silly' name tag stickers that are given out at meetings might be a good idea for those shooting who want to know who is a regular on this forum.

Yep it was well put together. Can't wait for the 1st match in two weeks. As for name tags I'm not putting one on. If someone wants to know who I am they can come up an ask me. I didn't catch if the father and son are on the fourm or not. The kid did great and it will be fun to get beat by a 12 year old. I can't wait until my son and daughter are old enough to come and shoot with me.

The 4th guy is Kevin Schield. I don't believe he's a member here. He ran the Burnsville league last winter after Mike broke his ankle.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

I had a great time, and didn't even get embarrassed. Although I was a little nervous shootin a whole 4 rounds in front of the group :D

Thanks to those that put this together. I appreciatedvthe emphasis on safety and fun. Look forward to next time!

Ditto to what everyone else said. Many thanks to those organizing the matches and last night. I know I am looking forward to shooting in this league. Also, I am looking forward to hearing "2 Alpha" more then Alpha Charlie.

Back to the range to practice... 8-)

I had 2 Alpha & 2 Charlie. At least I was consistant. I was afraid I'd miss. 2.49 is pretty slow though.

Come on now. I missed the 1st target 1st shoot. I walked up to it with the mindset. It's two easy targets not to fare away. I'm going blaze through it as fast as I can. I bet I'm the only guy that shot 5 shots last night. I pulled a good makeup shot though. Man it's going to be a long winter.
