So the bottom line is: We all need to hustle a bit more and run shooters more efficiently. I will admit that I realy haven't done much at these matches but will do my best to help things go smoother on what ever squad I am on.

Shooting league night USPSA matches for me is more of a social event, seeing my shooting buddies, shooting the **** is more important to me than the actual shooting.

What's wrong with you folks? The shooting is at least as important as the stories, excuses, and general banter :-)

Gee. Three stages, start earlier, more ROs, more help. Anything else? Complimentary beer? :D

I don't think adding a third stage would mean the matches would run later, just that we'd have fewer shooters on each stage at a time. From time-to-time I've asked Roger about using the rifle bay for another stage, but he's said no. I won't bug him about it (and please don't!!!) because it's his range.

The three ROs per stage (staging shooters, scoring and "working" the shooter) is working out better than I expected, so I plan to keep doing that.

One thing I do NOT want to do is limit the number of shooters. Remember, this is supposed to be safe and fun, not restrictive. This may change, but if so, I'll be kicking and screaming about it. I realize that some of you have long drives, or need to be at work extra early so you can't stay, and that's fine. On the rare occasion someone has to shoot-through because they have to work, we try to accommodate them, too. I personally don't mind staying later, and Roger is OK with it, at least for now.

Starting earlier may be another answer, but we can't be too much earlier. I'll have to think about that.

As far as "balanced" stages, we try to have a simple stage, and a "thinking" stage (OK, so that's mostly me. Eric likes a lot of rounds, so bring ammo!). We don't often have one stage finish really early, as apposed to the other one, but it does happen. If that happens, feel free to grab some pasters, take the clipboard from the staging RO, or...pick up the shooter's brass!!! :hide: Every little bit helps.

My hat's off to you all that pitch in. Without you, we couldn't run it. :thankyou: :grouphug:

That's be Great Mike!

Seriously, thanks for putting on a great match! If there's anything I can do to help, don't hesitate to ask.

First post here, wanted to say thanks to everyone who makes the event at Burnsville possible.

When I mentioned I was a newb back on the 5th, I was literally swarmed by people who were there to answer questions, offer tips, show me around, and introduce me to others. Y'all are a very friendly bunch and I certainly appreciate the work that goes into making these things run. Since I'll be down there again this Thursday, how can I help out and who should I talk to?

Glad you enjoyed it.

Grab some pasters and paste targets...AFTER they've been scored! Some new shooters, in their eagerness to help, just start pasting.

Pick up the brass for the shooter that just went through! If they don't want it (some don't) then just drop it in a pile. Most shooters appreciate it as they can watch their targets being scored and not worry about losing brass. It IS appreciated! 8-) :thankyou: :bravo:

See ya tonight.

Huh, very crafty of you, saying the same thing twice that is.

I hear that those that like to put money on things like this. have you down for a solid 4th place finish. I hope you place better, Berg stands to make some good money on this.
