Maybe a dumb question but what are the rules for carry? Obviously its a school so I would think no but it is a gun show with thousands of guns..in a school?

I was just stating what the policy was for the show, wasn't trying to make an interpretation or judgement of any statute. As a wise,( horned, red, with a pitchfork) , instructor told me those are the questions to ask a lawyer, and I'm by far not a lawyer.

I know from years past that parking is a pain so plan for extra walking time.

I'm not sure what this year's times are but I found an article from last year that said 8-5 Saturday and 8-4 Sunday.

We can usually park within a block or so. What I learned is not to stop at the first open spot (which is what we did for a couple of years) - there's almost always a better place to park. I also learned not to wear a jacket inside - better to freeze for a block than sweat like a pig for 3 hours (and take up extra space in those narrow isles).

Looking forward to going back to school.....

That is very true, it gets really warm in there at times.

March 10 and 11 starting time has been in my experience with tables in the cafeteria Ive seen people coming in as early as 7am both days. This years flyer states Sat 8am to 5pm, Sun 8am to 4pm. $5 bucks admission, kids under 14 MUST be accompanied by an adult. On Sunday afternoon the ladies have a cart full of homemade pies for sale {discounted} in the cafeteria. Good ol small town USA. MNman PS They start to serve breakfast at 6 or 6:30 in the cafeteria.

Looking forward to a beef commercial and homemade pie for dessert!!!!

I'm covering ambulance calls while most of my subordinates are at an EMS conference on Saturday, so I have to go on Sunday. If the ladies have entire pies for sales..... well, I guess I better not spend all of my money on guns!

So aside from the pie, how is the firearm selection generally at the Wells shows? I didn't find much at the Bloomington show last weekend and was going to wait until the MWCA show on the 17-18th to go buy a new fun. Does the selection vary enough to justify the hour and a half drive down there?

It will take you over two hours to walk through all the hallways and the lunchroom. Then, when you are about ready to leave, you will over hear someone talking about the beef sticks for sale in the upstairs gym. This is about when realize you haven't seen it all.

The way you grade the selection will depends on your interests. Lots of tables, not all gun dealers but much more gun related items for sale than you'd ever find at a flea market.

If you are looking to sell or buy private it's a great place to do business too!

From the cities you just take 169 south to Mankato, then Highway 14 East toward Waseca, go a few miles and exit on Highway 22. Turn right (go south) and go probably 25 miles or so to Wells.
