Currently in Annual Training with my national guard unit and had a chance to train and get a sneak peek at the Outbreak Omega 5, good times had by all. Though I have to say one of the best things was seeing the "Tacti-cools" who were allowed to shoot after us, all wearing their full rigs.
I learn more from mistakes than from success, though given the option I prefer to learn from the mistakes of others.

I won some cool stuff too, including a zombie stock, pistol grip and foregrip that I will never ever use.

My wife and I had a blast again at this years event, I'm glad it ran smooth and only 2 incidents. The camping was great both nights. The Bar at the Camp site was a good success we raised $700 for USAcares.org. I'm happy all the "tacti-cool" people who showed up with the working private gear and acted professional (unlike SOME enlisted I could mention who can't seem to hold they're booze  ) by not carrying while drinking and not trying to start any fights. Next year's event will be just as big but scaled back so it not to get ANY bigger. We hope to see you all again next year. Don't forget SHTF 2 shoot will be September 22 out at Ahlman's so help spread the word on this Shoot as well PLEASE!!!

I had a lot of fun but didn't win anything.

Is there any "VIZ" out there who got one of the green handled Ka-bar pocket knife they were giving us who would prefer a black one?

I'm kind of sad I didn't get a green one like they pictured when we signed up, and I know not everyone likes that bright zombie green.

Would anyone want to trade their green one for my black one? It's still in the box.

Outbreak Omega 5

As far as I know they weren't serious but two people got hit with fragments, one in the side and one in the leg. I saw that the first one happened off to the side of the Texas star stage in front of that castle of doom or whatever it was called. They pulled the line of people back until they could throw up a few sheets of plywood. Don't know the details of the second one just heard some talk around the range.

That probably explains why they moved the Texas Star back about twice the distance just before I shot it! I thought they were just screwing with me :)

I went 5 for 6 on the star this year...and it was my first shot that missed :(

I was pretty disappointed in the shotgun stages. No clays or moving targets at all!!?? A shooter worth his salt could probably ace every shotgun stage with a damn Taurus Judge!

They did have some clay targets. The ones where you shot the steel target down, which in turn sent the clay up in the air to shoot at.

Did you miss this one? It was hard to see what every stage was about unless you were right up there. I should have had my phone turned sideways when recording, oh well..
