Bang Ping with w wheelie go round

It's July and Saturday is fast approaching and that means a Revolver Steel Shoot.

OK. What's needed
just like the Second rule of gunfights states......Bring a REVOLVER!...... 9mm, .38, 41, 44, 45, will do the job. Autos can play too, but you can't have more than 6 rounds in the gun!

Holster, not needed for a Tyro, but you cannot shoot Man v Man without one. The trigger MUST be covered.
Round count, in a perfect world 100 would suffice. If you have the slightest idea you might miss, bring more....lots more. I don't miss much but I still bring 200
Hearing protection, if you want to be able to talk with your grandkids bring it, learning sign language at 50 isn't easy.
Eye Protection, good quality sunglasses, safety glasses or prescription glasses are MANDATORY, they should wrap around the side or have side panels.
Think of your shooting glasses as your American Express Card, don't leave home without them. We're shooting at Steel, bullets shatter, pieces of them bounce.
Clothes...This is Minnesota, bring snow clothes, rain gear, sunscreen, shorts....you get the picture...be a boy scout.

If you believe the TV weather forecasters, we should have a hot and sticky day... Maybe

Hydration, bring something to drink, it may be hot (or cold) so bring water or something else. (personally I don't consume caffeine when shooting it gives me the shakes)
Food, the town is six miles from the range and there are no facilities on site, bring some lunch, you might get hungry otherwise.
Start Time, Setup will be at 8:30, Shooting will start at 9:30.
COF, Four stages, each of 4 strings with the best three times to count. The winner will be the one with the lowest total time for the 12 runs.

$15 for Non Members, $10 for Members. (Gopher Campfire Club Members)

I am a solid maybe. Depends how our ten hour day of appointments go at Mayo Friday. So in a perfect world it should be 14 hours from when we leave home to when we pull back in our driveway. Also how worn out the wife is. I don't think I have said lately. Cancer sucks and can kiss my ass.

ETA: If I do make it I will be shooting my GLOCK revolver.

I really enjoyed my first time at the June event and will be there, along with plenty of sunscreen, hydration, and bug juice.

Since there is a round limit imposed on autos, does this mean a 7 or 8 shot revo has an advantage?

It's the Indian not the arrow, Cochise...... and yes 7 an 8 shot revos are allowed with full cylinders

I'm coming and Pat Cannon is riding with me. I have room for 2 others though Tactical Ninja and Tim Warner have first dibs.

I TRY to take advantage of the presumed "advantage", but let's just say that while the extra rounds come in handy occaisionally on the timed portion, trying to get all 8 little pointy things lined up with the respective holes quickly during the man v man is NOT an advantage!

I'm planning to attend again, but may opt for salmon fishing depending on conditions and how the bite goes!

(if I don't make it, someone will need to really pooch their reloads to make up for my absence!)

I plan to come at least for the steels, MvM depending on the dog (darn responsibilities).
