Perhaps it's best I remain nameless...

Sorry I didn't get around to posting earlier. Been busy trying to shed the smell of cosmoline, sweat and shame. Anyway...

I propped the camera up on an ammo can.

Ammo can, is that what we're going with? Ok. ;)

Seriously, it was great meeting everybody! It's always nice to know whether it's a real person or a robot posting. Though, I'm still not 100% sure, I've got a better idea. :?

Duct tape+flask=win! Must've been Russian enough.

We all won. No one got hurt with all the bubba modifications. lol. At least someone was prepared for bad things to happen. That was a pretty sweet medical kit.

My uncle came over today to do some shooting. He asked where the hail bail went. I told him there is some over here, some over there and some on the roof of the house. I smiled and walked away.

The wife wants me to pick up some tannerite to play with here.

I think my favorite part of the day was watching 5 internet gun experts shooting for 5 minutes trying to hit the tannerite from 50 yards away. My video camera almost ran out of batteries.

Let the record show, that I was not behind a trigger for this, I was too busy manning and tending to cameras. From only 50 Arshins, it would have only been one shot for me. ;)

In our defense someone said the tannerite was hiding behind the head of red barbie hair when it was actually a little high and to the left... 8-)

More trigger pulling is fine. Shoot all you want. But 40+ rounds to kill barbie with tannerite... Excessive. lol

I had great luck with the Shockwave brand targets from SGAmmo... 10 pounds for $60 + shipping.

http://www.sgammo.com/product/exploding ... ing-target

After 40 tracers out of my AR failed to ignite a 40x20, 16 foot high brush pile soaked in diesel fuel at the in-laws farm, 4 lbs of Shockwave exploding target and a trusty 55 gr FMJ projectile from the AR did the trick. :)

Half a pound and a phone book tented over the top makes for a nice cloud of confetti as well.

Which one of the bubba-ites did I steal the factory firing pin spring from? I need to get it back to who ever it was.

-Dan

BTW - I never claimed to shoot well at any distance nor did the commi bastard running the even bring a good rest to sight in a scope from. So that is my excuse!

lol. I guess I will give you that. Been out back putting together a little pistol range with all the steel targets you brought up for me. Thanks again for the targets. The wife is looking forward to shooting them.

Well as long as we're gonna start posting excuses.
In my defense, my rifle was iron sights, off-hand at a ~6 moa target, using extreme kentucky windage and alabama elevation.
All that and I saw Barbie bounce a few times... ;)

Should have brought the bayonet!

Well the flaccid bolt handle is no more. I cut it off and started on a new handle to clear the scope.
