I read those posts. I'll give the guy some credit for making an attempt. I'm still not comfortable with it and won't attend, but I'm hopeful and curious about the outcome. The interw3bz are hard sometimes.

Even more so for just joining a group and trying to set up an event such as that one, if not any type of event.

I was able to work with one of the other event organizers, and reason prevailed.

Yeah, pretty much no matter what that guy did, it was already tainted. Looks like his heart might have been in the right place, but implementation failed.

I had visions of a bunch of openly armed guys, with trash bags- filtering through a beach filled with kids and soccer-moms, just waiting for the cops to show up.

I enjoyed the lunch. It was nice meeting everyone who showed up. I am glad to say that there were no problems or negative encounters. I look forward to meeting Paul again.
