It seems like people fell into one of three speed classes today. I hereby declare myself Champion of the Mediocre Shooters.

So do I understand that the 4th Saturday Steel Shoot will be the third Saturday in September? If so, we will be gone that weekend :( . No steel shoot for us that weekend.

Thanks as always to Benny and China, it's always great fun, and thanks to Pat Cannon for the nifty graph.

SAM wrote:First of all, fabulous job by Benny and China keeping the range under order and safe. I was very impressed. Glad I could make the shoot-sorry I could not shoot. It looks like the next one will be Sept. 27--that is the 4th Saturday. I have a class scheduled for that day but I have a sneaky feeling that date will be changed.

Yeah, Benny said the 20th, in three (3) weeks, everybody.

Sounds like a little sandbagging to me, but if your actual results are painful, I understand you have plenty of Vicodin. :)

I see another clear speed class consisting of Selurcspi, Fast351, John L, and Dave Slam AKA shooters I will never beat unless their guns malfunction.

Thanks again to Benny and China for another great event. Thanks also to everyone who turned out to make the event so nice. You do not have to come in first to have a great time and learn a lot. Just ask me.

RET, you know, you are absolutely right!
I know that sounds glib coming from me, but I've always enjoyed competing and improving, when I started to approach the upper end of the IPSC spectrum, I lost a lot of the enjoyment, even though I was winning and coming very close in some of the top competitions, it began to be work and not fun.

More Bang Ping for everyone.

Never is a long time Mac. You're a young guy, still a fairly novice shooter, and have made great improvements just in the past couple years. You could be very good if you choose to put in the effort.

For those that knew what I was going to do after the steel shoot, and those that didn't.

230 grain Federal HST into 6 gallons of water. It made it through 2 of them, and stopped in the 3rd.

(It's a fairly big file.. Haven't cut it down at all..)
