Roger's Gander MTN Grand Opening May 17-19

What sucks is they had an ad out advertising all of their bulk packs with pricing starting yesterday, 5-16. Hopefully there's still some left for the weekend.

I was told by an employee that they will have ammo out every day not just first come first serve.

Probably about 100 people in line right now.

A friend called from down there, said at least 100 people in line in front of him. Also said an employee came out asking what people wanted to buy and was informing some of them they may be out by the time they get in the store.

They had none of the bulk packs out last night at 8pm, so don't worry about it being gone before today. Apparently they are stocking overnight. The guy I talked to did say they expected shipments each day this weekend so there would be fresh every morning. Unlikely to last too long, but at their high prices ($119 for 1600rds of .22) it may not go super fast.

They will be putting ammo out each day. I also know that cabelas has stocked ammo as well to try to compete. So if gander doesn't have it run over to cabelas.

I got there around 10:00 am this morning and the line was still about 75 ft. long waiting to get in. They were only letting about 25 or so people in the door in 6-10 minute intervals. By the time I made it back to the ammo section, there was still a very good supply of .22 bulk packs; Winchester, Remington, Federal, plus individual boxes of Mini-Mags. Also plenty of 9mm, 45 ,40 and.223. The place was super busy for a Friday morning......but well organized IMO.

I think they were limiting to one bulk pack (of anything) per person. That, I'm sure, helped keep some on the shelf for a while.
