Use the paypal wizard. Go into merchant tools, find the donate button and fill in the fields. Choose the un-encrypted option, and it will give you a plain text link.

How about this? Let's blow this thing sky-high:

Let's get Bill's, Burnsville, Frontiersman, GunStop, Gopher Bar, etc. to be collection points. Let's collect money on TCC, MGT, GlockTalk, THR, AR15.com, and anywhere else gunnies go. Let's make sure we make an early reservation, and get us on KARE-11 with the biggest damn pile of toys ever, from the gun owners of Minnesota.

I can take collections here, if you are so inclined, you can take donations at TCC, and if we can get some local people from those sites to take collections, and get together for a shopping spree I'm all for it. It would be nice to bring toys to the drop-off in more than one vehicle, not out of convenience, but out of necessity. The more toys the better!! In the words of Kevin Costner on The Untouchables........ "Let's do some good!" Cheezy? Yes. Appropriate? I think so.

Don't make it a board vs board issue.

Set up geographical collections. Get someone from each part of the metro, and maybe a few outside of the metro.

We need people with good relationships at each of the gun stores to talk them into being a drop site. Publicity and good will should be enough motivation for them. We also need people to stop by the stores on a regular basis to pick up the donations, so we aren't being an inconvenience to the stores.

Somebody should write up a short, easy-to-read summary of what the hell is going on, to help motivate gun owners.

Didn't mean to make it sound like Board V Board, furthest thing from my mind. I was simply stating that it would be easier to have more than one collection point, and utilize people that are established on the different boards. For example, if I were to go to AR15.com and say "hey guys, give me money so I can help those less fortunate" Since they don't know me from Adam, they would be much less inclined to donate than to those who are established on the board taking donations. I'll work on a write up, but a brain damaged chimp might do a better job....... If we have any scribes here, let us know if you are interested in helping out.

Somebody established on each board would be good to advertise.

AR15.com:
Einthoven's Triangle is well established at AR15.com. Can you spread the word there, ET?

Bill's:
Dean C, you direct deposit your paychecks there, right? Can you talk to John Munson?

GunStop:
I'll take that one.

Who would like to talk to Frontiersman?

Know anybody at Bill's who could talk to the management about being a collection point?

For those of you who have already donated..... THANKS!!!! Keep 'em coming guys!! If you would rather donate new, unwrapped toys, please PM me if you cannot make it to one of the drop sites we are trying to set up, or if we are going to be at the same place at the same time. (saturday breakfast, hint, hint) I can harbor toys until the drop.
