It's on the schedule as such:
http://www.oakdalegunclub.org/?q=events-activities/glock-match

(No mention of an armorer)

(Shoot Mike/ aka SkyRock an email/ PM)

Sat. MAY 21st & Sun. May 22nd (2016)

Annual Northern Lakes Regional Classic GSSF Match

Oakdale Gun Club and the Glock Shooting Sports Foundation are proud to co-sponsor two days of fun, firepower and friendly competition!

When: Held in July each year. Please see theRange Calender for the exact dates of this year's match

Where: Oakdale Gun Club

Why: Win cash, prizes & new guns!

Who: Any and all GLOCK pistol owners! Beginners are welcome; with three classes of competition and Lewis scoring rules, you compete only against shooters at your own skill level!

Fees: Pre-registered, $25 per match. At the range, $35 per match. You can compete in more than one match, class or category

What else? This is a factory-sponsored event. Meet the GLOCK representatives, learn what is new, and get the latest gear and advice for getting the most out of your GLOCK handgun!

Some Notes: This is a two-day event, but you need not be present for the entire match to win. The time it takes to compete depends on how many matches, classes or categories in which you choose to compete, and you can compete on either or both days.

This is not an IPSC match. Most GSSF classes require you to use a stock gun - no exotic sights, special holsters, or expensive "race gun" modifications are needed.

For more information: Contact the match director, Mike Murphy, at mdmurphy@frontier.com

I've only been to one GSSF event before and there was a Glock armorer on site. This is something the GSSF advertises so I'd assume there'd be one present on all days of every event.

Do I have to be a GSSF member to have the Glock Armorer look at my Glock 19 Gen 2 at the Oakdale shoot?

Theoretically, I think so. But at the event I attended and had mine looked at by the armorer he didn't ask for my GSSF member ID.

What do you need done? The armorer class really just teaches you the basics on dis-assembly/assembly and the mechanics of how things work. It is just a little harder than changing a light bulb.

The armorers that usually do the GSSF matches are more than just run of the mill armorers. They are usually the area reps also.

you don't need to be a GSSF member.

Typically as stated above the armorer is a rep and will go through your firearm, inspect and clean, as well as do minor upgrades all free of charge

Depends how many people show up before you. It also helps if you've pre-registered (which I think closes tomorrow - Wednesday).

The best time (smallest crowds) is Sunday AM.
