Will you keep the stages set up until I arrive? We have swimming lessons for the boys and I can't get to the range until Noon. I'll help spin the stages after that and cleanup too.

Hey, they waited for us when Strad blew up his radiator on the way there.

Anybody planning to be at the steel shoot next weekend that may also run into Westberg between now and then who would be willing to play mag mule? (it would be far too easy for me to just call him with my credit card and have them ship stuff - it's so much more fun to add people more and steps! :o )

It's Salsa Red you ****, not tangerine, and I'd like to see your ghetto cruiser with the $3,000 window repair get through a foot of snow.

I still blame you. See you at the next steel shoot....... are we caravaning again? :D

Looks like the wifey and me may be tagging along again. We'll drive the truck this time. I think Strad's truckie will actually fit in the bed.
Thanks to EJSG19 for letting me use his dillon, I loaded 685 rnds of .45 so that should be about enough.
I have a Colt Python and you don't so what do I care...

I'm making preliminary plans to attend this event. It's been 20 years since I've done an IPSC event down in Faribault.

What exactly do I need for this?

Gun, perhaps 2, check
Mags, how many?
Ammo, how much?
Holster? what type?
What time should I be there? I'm all in for setup/teardown.
Do directions to this event include, "turn off the paved road?"

Thanks!
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Gun, perhaps 2.
Mags - you will be shooting strings of 5 targets 4 times each. Bring as many as you need. I bring 58 of them.
Ammo - Legend has it if you don't miss you need 96 rounds. I miss. I bring 500. I also go home with most of it.
Hoster, I'm going to let Benny address this one.
Time, if you want to help with setup I think the time is 8:30

Turn off the paved road? You'd better believe it.

Here is a pic of my Jeep from one of the shoots last year. I think they may have fixed most of the construction though.

Who knew you could screw up a window by simply ROLLING IT DOWN. It's not my fault it wouldn't go back up. Methinks it was already screwed up. I'm usually good luck, but that day I was a crap magnet.

Assuming my primary will be a .45 acp with .40 s&w for backup, is there a particular preferred ammo? I see on the range rule for the Gopher Campfire range they specify to FMJ ammo?

I'll be making my own, so what works best?

Yeah, I know 45 works best in a 45 and 40 works best in a 40. LOL

FMJ, HP, LRN, LSWC, plated...whatever you've got is fine. Just don't bring tracers and you'll be alright.

The FMJ requirement is for the rifle range.

Yes indeed but was it not perfectly fine before you touched that button??? yes it was. you touched the button and it no longer worked ergo we were witness to the birth of macphisto the "karma giver outer" or as i prefer you to call you when i am drunk "that effing tall effer whooses real name i dont know who broke my effing window...........................effer"

I just realized that there is a shoot June 27th. I may actually NOT be at my cabin. My wife might even give me a pass.
It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it.
