I have a feeling that I am going to show up to both and I'm gonna be the only guy under 30 there... :)

Anybody my age going. :D

I'm younger than you, old man.

ssax,
If you have a holster for the pistol, bring that and any magazine holder you might have. Bring several mags as well. I think 4 is a good #.

Also, $10 to pay the folks hosting the steel shoot.

Eyes and ear protection are also a must.

Also, bring nice cooler weather ;-) 76 degrees light wind and no rain would be just fine with me.

9mm would be fine for the timed event. If you plan to shoot the Man V Man (which is very fun I might add). You might want a .40 or .45.
In the past, I think the 9mm has had a harder time knocking down the poppers. But you can use the 9mm, just shoot faster ;-)

Those poppers look somthing like this.....

Well, I'm only 2 times 28. But my wife says I'm very immature.

Don't worry, you won't be the only one under 30.

On second thought, worry!

Here's what I got... Glock 19 (only), 3 mags, Trying to get a holster right now from another member on here, eyes and ears.

Here is my predicament:

I have only shot about 1000 rounds through a G23 and sold it, I'm not a very good shot but I can hit COM reliably, I just picked up my G19 today and haven't shot it yet.

I have yet to do any holster draw stuff.

Even though I learn quick and know firearm safety, I would feel like a tool trying to compete at all against anyone or in front of anyone hahaha.

What are your recommendations? Just watch or try to compete AKA just try to hit stuff. :)

It was a tough day. Others here I think will assure you I look much more civilized in person. Usually.

Absolutely go for the hitting stuff!

Sure it's scary at first, but all the most fun things in life are, you know, like skydiving, or talking to girls. Just do what your range officer tells you to do and it'll be cool.

Either way that is an epic pic.

On a side note, do you know if people are camping up there, wherever it is... or is it - go there, shoot, come back?

AFAIK, people drive out, shoot & drive home, but I seem to recall somebody telling me that there is camping there, or nearby.

Generally with the crew that goes up, everyone goes back same day. From the cities it's really only an hour and a half drive.
If you're reading this, there are better than even odds you are a d-bag.

You need to get that car fixed, it only takes 40 minutes!

Yeah, unless you live in Mpls or st paul.

Besides, I come from Mpls by way of Buffalo. It takes a good hour and 45.
