Western Burbs Beer Night

Postby Pat on Wed Aug 12, 2009 5:37 pm

I know that there are a few of us on the west side of town. How about scheduling a beer night? Is Maple Grove too far north?

Don't want to compete with the Tuesday get togethers in St. Paul (45 minute drive for me...)

Any ideas appreciated!

Thursdays work well for me. Maple Grove is also fine but I'm open to other places on the west side as well.

I'm on business travel next week, the week of the Aug 23-29 I'm in town. But, don't schedule anything around me...I travel a ton!

I'm in Greenfield, Maple Grove is fine but we could do something like Plymouth, Loretto or Albertville to avoid the Grove confusion.

I was thinking perhaps the Claddagh Irish Pub in Maple Grove. Good bar food and fresh beer. 3 Squares is also just across the street, and they've got a great bar.

Anybody know a good place in Plymouth?

In Plymouth, Cowboy Jack's isn't half bad. They have revolvers for door handles, so they can't be all bad, right? It can get a bit posey in there sometimes, but I think it's calmed down a bit now that the shiny new bar smell has worn off a little.

Still, I'm a huge fan of the Claddagh, and Irish pubs in general. (Going back to Ireland next month, in fact!) I'd be happy to meet there.

I'd actually be able to make one or two if it were in Maple Grove or north as well. Come drink at Grumpy's, I mean Willy's in Coon Rapids and I'll be there. (Great burgers but my kids sometimes learn new words there.)

How about we go far enough west to avoid the twins statium tax and the metro area transit sales tax? ... (hint hint hint) Dave's Town Club in Delano is CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAP. I'm talking a meal and a beer for about $4.00otd. 8-) Draft beers are 1.50 regular hours, less during happy hour.

I'm north of Rogers in Otsego. My commute goes right through Maple Grove...

I work up in Maple Grove so I wouldn't mind grabbing some beers after work some day.

How about the Claddagh Irish Pub in Maple Grove for next Thursday, 8/20?
