James Fleming, Minnesota criminal defense attorney (Fleming Law Offices) and founder of Mid-Minnesota Self-Defense, Inc., will present “
Aftermath,” an overview of a course he offers on what to expect in the aftermath of a self defense shooting or deadly force encounter.
Be sure to attend and hear what can happen and how you should be prepared should you ever find yourself needing to shoot or use deadly force in self defense.
This Info Session is just a brief overview of the full 6 hour course that Mr. Fleming offers.
Aftermath full course overview:
This course is designed to educate on the aftermath of a self-defense shooting. Topics include:
--Immediate Aftermath – maintaining safety and security, contacting law enforcement, maintaining crime scene integrity, contacting legal counsel, physiological and psychological Issues;
--Dealing With the Police – initial contact and statements, invoking the right to remain silent, recording or videotaping interaction with police officers, arrest, custody and charging;
--Dealing With Health Concerns
--Dealing with Family, Friends and Acquaintances Dealing With the Media, Working With Legal Counsel, The Criminal Process, and Potential Civil Consequences.
