May Steel Shoot!!!!!

I'm going to be there. I've been waiting all winter to make it to one. This will be my first steel shoot and I'm really looking forward to it.

I would like to come to this, but need to know what time I could reasonably walk away with the first palce trophy... I have stuff to do in the afternoon that might compromise my future shoots if I miss, not to mention my manhood.

I believe last month we were done at about 3, some of us stopped off and had dinner on the way home but I'm pretty sure I made it home about 6. As far as the trophy goes you'd have to bring one if you wanted to take one home with you, we don't have no stinkin' trophy, everyone who is there knows who wins and after a month everyone forgets and then no one cares.

You could skip the Man v Man and save an hour, too..........But, everybody will call you wimpy once you leave, so it might not be worth it

I want to be there but every time I plan on it something last minute happens and I cant
So maybe if I say I am going to try and make it maybe things will work.

I'm thinking about running down for this but noticed it is not on the Gopher clubs site as an event. I jsut want to confirm I have the location at time coorect. Its the gopher range by huthinson at 10am?

Any limitations on type of handgun, I. E. can I bring my open gun?

Right place, but shooting starts (in theory anyway) at 9:30, be there between 8:30 and 9:30 for brownie points helping set up. Yeah, open guns are legal, Selurcspi was shooting a space gun last time, and both he & China use the fancy race holsters sometimes.

I'm leaving my place at 7:00 AM so I can be there at around 8:30 to help set up.

I just got done with MapQuest. I'm taking the Southern route that involves Hwy 41 to Chaska, picking up 212 west out past the paved road and then Hwy 22 northwest (plus a few other twists and turns). I can meet folks in Shakopee (169 & 41) or Chaska (41 & 212) and then motor on out. Or...if anyone has a better idea I'm open. Send me a PM

Pat, I can swing into town and pick you up, I'm picking up one other in Bloomington which is on the way out from your place if 7 isn't open and only a mile or so out of the way if it is.

Which brings me back to my question, Does anyone know if 7 is open from St. Boni to Silver Lake?

Are there any rules about what types of holster can be used? In particular, is a thigh mount ok (I think it is sometimes referred to as a tactical holster)?
