MNGunTalk family picnic: July 3, 2010, 4 PM

Postby plblark on Thu Jun 24, 2010 7:56 pm

It seems that so many of our events are done seperate from our families.

So, let's plan for a picnic organized specifically to include our families.

When: Saturday July 3, 2010 4pm until people leave
Where: casa de Plblark (Roseville near Rosedale. PM Plblark for address and to RSVP)
What to bring: meat and beverages for your family and an item to share.
I'm providing rudimentary S'Mores supplies
If there's outdoor fun gear you want to bring, that's cool and we could probably make it work :-) ( frisbee, ball, gloves, etc) welcome
Who: you and your SO and or kids. IF you can't convince them to come, you're still welcome. But tell him or her there will be other long suffering SO's there to commiserate with and drag them along :-)

As this is a family event and different people have chosen ways to expose their kids to carry, treat it as a discreet carry event like the North Side Breakfasts. No one is going to freak either way but it's not the OCB either. This is not a show and tell event. We can use the garage if you need a controlled place and safe direction to show clear and safely compare your gear :-)

Amenities on site:
Huge playground (swings, slides, monkey bars, sand box, trap door, etc)
Zip Line (225# weight limit guys :-))
Badminton net and gear
Croquet set
Frisbees
I think we have a slip and slide. If you have one and bring it, we'll set it up :-)
Couple mid sized kiddie pools
Bonfire Ring
Room to roam and play
Propane Grill of medium size
a couple coolers

Would love to but I will be enjoying the Indiana Lakeshore that weekend. And observing a few birthdays as well.

I've got another commitment, or I'd be there with the family.

Sooner or later, I'll get to one of these things.

I'd love to Paul, but we are also having a 4th of July picnic. See you and the family on the 24th though.
