Lunch in Coon Rapids? Nevermind

Postby tt3 on Fri Oct 08, 2010 8:32 am

See the last post by me. Noon, Coon Rapids. Me in a Surly jacket with an infant, probably hard to miss.
noon, Panera, all are invited.

Change in plans, I'll reschedule later. Maybe.

I'll probably do that again next month. My wife works at North Memorial so the baby and I visit her often. The Reuben was freakin' awesome, one of the best I've had and the sweet potato fries were also killer.

Anyway, maybe next time I'll give more notice (though not much more, with my kids planning ahead doesn't work well.)

If I wasn't replacing all the trim and interior doors in my home, I would have dragged my munchkin out and joined you.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that one can buy pre-hung interior doors that are made in the USA for very reasonable prices though.
It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it.

I understand that surprise, I just put a made in the USA storm door on a couple weeks ago!

Like I said, I'll do this again, maybe try to post earlier to give more time to plan for it. (Earlier, like a couple days...)

I'd make the next one as my hours at work have changed and I'm in close proximity to Bills'.

Funny, I was thinking of doing it again this week.

Can't tell you what shirt I'll have on since that's too much planning ahead but I do have a Surly jacket. That and the whole 35yo guy with a baby girl thing that makes me stand out a little.

Anyone available this Friday? I know there are two other lunches this week, but figure what the heck.

I gotta do it close to noon because there'll be hell to pay if I don't get back in time to pick up the older girls from school at 2. I can shoot for 12:15 if you don't mind that I've ordered by the time you get there?

Probably a good chance I'm going to skip it, grab a bite a bit more locally. Or stop at Hackenmueller's and grab some ham spread... best dang meat shop I've visited in a long time... if you shoot at Bill's south, stop in.

I guess watch this thread tomorrow if I make it down there for lunch or not.

I was going to reply earlier but had parent/teacher conferences this evening and had to work the graveyard. I still am planning to head to Bills' about 12:30 ish.

Swing through the Lodge, we'll still likely be there by then. Look for the table with a baby. ;)

I'm dumber than a box of hammers. Put the box of sweet potato fries on the top of my van while I loaded the kid in her seat. Got two blocks away and thought SHTI! Nope, they didn't make it.
Anyway, good meeting and re-meeting folks,
I'll do it again in a month or so. The food is good, the restaurant is darn near empty at noon so we didn't really bother anyone with the kid's vocalizing.

Hey, anyone interested in lunch tomorrow in Coon Rapids? I'm thinking Panera by Riverdale, but am open to other options. There'll probably be two of us with kids.
Noon.
