WELLS MN GUN SHOW 2012

Postby MNman on Wed Feb 22, 2012 11:45 am

March 10 and 11 in Wells,MN is the biggest Gun Show in southern Mn and is a great cabin fever buster before Spring arrives. We have four tables in the cafetertia, yes the show is held in the U.S.C. Public High School in town. This show averages about 3500 people in two days, you will find something here for everybody so don't leave the wife home. I believe this year is the 52nd and is organized by the Wells Rifle & Pistol Club and there is over 300 tables so come on out, the food served is very good {home baked pies} see you there.

Been going there for years and it's a great event. I love the variety of stuff and the food is definately worth the trip alone!

IIRC it's $5 per person. It's been a couple of years since I went, though I'll probably make it back this year. It's a good, well-rounded event. Food and guns, what's not to like!

Been there a few times and its a lot of fun.

Maybe a dumb question but what are the rules for carry? Obviously its a school so I would think no but it is a gun show with thousands of guns..in a school?

Loaded guns are not allowed, any guns coming in are to be checked at door the to be sure there empty.

Last year there was a guy with a bunch of those 'free' Project Homesafe gun locks on his table for a couple bucks each. You know, the ones they give out everywhere that say on them "NOT FOR RESALE". We usually give them out to our firearms safety class kids as many as they want. I picked one up and asked the guy how he could sell free gun locks but he just stared at me like I was the idiot. Oh well.

Cobb - it's the Wells Gun Club policy. Like every other "FUN" show. Too bad EVERYONE didn't follow the signage at ANOKA if there was in fact a ND.

I guess I do not see the correlation? No I am not going to debate the statue or legal, but I think most are confused or are making knee jerk statements or opinions. :)
