Mosin Build off: who's still in? EXTENDED TO MAY 21

Postby Shipyard on Sat Apr 28, 2012 11:42 am

With the May 1st deadline fast approaching, i need to get a tally of who's still in this farce of a waste of time. Please respond here (don't PM me, i loose messages with all the PM's i get in a day... :( ) as to your status in or out or if i missed you and you're in or out.

PLEASE, ONLY REPLY IF YOU ARE IN OR OUT IN THIS THREAD so i can keep track. there are several other threads around here for the continued **** talking or for questions about the kompetition. i need rough headcounts so we can pick an appropriate location, get ******* prizes and generally know how many ******** we'll have to babysit for a day :D

you will have from midnight, May 1st to midnight May 3rd to pake pictures and upload them to a thread i will be starting later on. this will be inte official lock of modifications. you are on the honor system to NOT f-with your rifle any more after this.

TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING YOU DID - "pics or it didn't happen" applies 100% here and you may risk disqualification if you show up to the shoot off with a bunch of stuff you did after the deadline. don't cheat. Komrades don't' play each other like that. :P

HUGE IMPORTANT REMINDER: you will have an entire MONTH of May to safety check your rifle. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO DO THIS BEFORE THE SHOOT! we will not be allowing people to safety check at the event. remember, if it looks questionable, or if there is a legitimate safety concern, you will have a club/paperweight for the day. we will not under any circumstances let anyone light up a gun that may be unsafe.

the shoot off is still not 100% nailed down, but it looks like it will be either the first or second weekend in June approx 1 hr north of the mpls metro area. you can still "kompete" in the kontest without shooting, but you'll loose the points for the shoot off, plus you'll miss out on all the stupidity that comes with the rest of us being so awesome with our creations.

the original listing way back when was:

I am sort of still in. lol. I will have a rifle there. Just might only get club value since I am down to 11 hours. Not sure if it will fire. But it looks like a pretty bad A$$ club.

Oh wait... I kind of have to stay in it since we are shooting at my place huh. My range... My RULES. I WIN

Kidding...

I'm in... If I can find a DD - you might want to consider two kegs. ;)

I forgot there were only 30 days in April... I'd better get home and get to work.

Mrs. and I are out. I had to work too many weekends, and we never got time to get in to the shop to get any real work done.

As another kick in the nuts, I got in 265 hours of overtime last year, after taxes it turned out to be about 6 dollars an hour...
