Ahlman's Shooter's Round-Up 2012

Ahlman's Annual Shooter's Round-Up is August 25 & 26 this year. 9 AM to 5 PM Cost is $10

If you are a shooter and haven't been to one of these, you are really missing a great shooting experience.

I received a flyer today. As usual, Winchester is having a truckload sale. A couple items I noticed really good prices on: 100 round 9 mm 115 gr. for $11.99 and 100 round 45 ACP 230 gr. for $19.99. The flyer says 100 round, not 50 round boxes. I know in previous years, the truckload sale has run out of some of the ammo early.

I just clicked on the link to the flyer and for the 45 ACP & 9 mm the "100 ROUND" note is missing. I thought that was a really low price.

"100 ROUND" is on the printed flyer I received today but NOT on the flyer in the link. I suspect a mis-print in the flyer.

I and Ms Cobb plan to make it over on Saturday, first time in a few years I had off to attend. Was thinking about riding the bike, but kinda hard to pack ammo or any other good deals in the solo bag.
In the past I got a kick out of the civil war cannon demonstration, they go though each person's responsibility and why. They also explain that they are using a reduce charge when firing because it sets off the car alarms that are in the area. So they demonstrate, fire, and you bet, a few car alarms are set off.

This was a few years ago, maybe for political reasons that big bang is no longer acceptable.

Just a short note to anyone asking about the super low prices for our upcoming Shooter's Roundup ammo sale. Our printer made a HUGE mistake on 3 items.
9mm and 45 are in 50 pack boxes....not 100
20gauge slugs are in 5-packs....not 15

I SINCERELY APOPLOGIZE FOR THIS ERROR!! WE TRY REALLY HARD TO KEEP THESE AS ACCURATE AS POSSIBLE, BUT STUFF HAPPENS....

Man do I miss USPSA!!! When I shot at the old Faribault range, it was the most fun I've had in years.....but then kids and a wife came onto the scene. So, am pushing them onto just target shooting and hunting....then hopefully can come back to IPSC shooting.

Saturday is booked, so I'm hoping to get over there on Sunday.

The Civil War Cannon demo is very, very cool. I'm with Cobb - that's been one of the highlights for me, too.

Overall, this is such a cool event for the entire family. My wife looks forward to it as much as I do.
