We have been invited to attend the 2 Visitation Services and the Funeral Service of Staff Sergeant Jacob M. Thompson, North Mankato, MN - Thu-Fri-Sat 16-17-18 Aug 07

All parking will be at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church using the rear parking lot only. This parking lot is about 1 1/2 blocks from St John the Baptist Catholic Church where the visitations and funeral service will be held. This is a downtown Mankato Church with very limited parking, so we need to allow the family, friends, and community to use the available parking spaces. If you are not able to walk the 1 1/2 blocks, please contact George at the email below and some arrangements will be made.

Visitation on Thursday 16 Aug 07
5:00pm - 9:00pm Flag Line at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 632 S. Broad St, Mankato, MN.
Parking will be at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 720 S. Second St, Mankato, MN using the REAR parking lot only. CAUTION: The side parking lot will be closed off and full of small children attending Vacation Bible School.

Visitation on Friday 17 Aug 07
11:00am - 8:00pm Flag Line at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 623 S. Broad St, Mankato, MN.
Parking will be at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 720 S. Second St, Mankato, MN using the REAR parking lot only.

Funeral on Saturday 18 Aug 07
Staging will be at the West High School Parking Lot, 1351 S Riverfront Dr, Mankato, MN - across from the Kwik Trip.
Directions: Exit US169 at the South Riverfront Dr Exit. Turn East on Riverfront Dr and go to Stoltzman Rd, turn RIGHT (South) onto Stoltzman Rd and turn Right again into the West High School Parking Lot.

8:00am - Staging Opens.
8:40am - Mission Briefing.
8:50am - Kickstands Up and proceed to the parking lot at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 720 S. Second St, Mankato, MN and use the REAR parking lot only.
8:55am - Setup Flag Line at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 623 S. Broad St, Mankato, MN.
9:00am - Family Arrives
10:30am - Funeral Begins
11:30am estimated - Funeral ends
11:35am estimated - Procession to Calvary Cemetery, 200 Goodyear Ave, Mankato, MN.
11:45am estimated - Arrival at Calvary Cemetery, 200 Goodyear Ave, Mankato, MN.
11:50am estimated - Graveside Services
12:20pm estimated - Graveside Services ends and we are dismissed.

The VFW, Post 950, 121 S Front St, Mankato, MN will open early so anyone wishing to relax immediately after the funeral on Saturday, order some food and refreshments may do so. Park in the Parking Ramp at the rear of the building (Free Parking on Saturday).

For all 3 days, please remember to bring your own water, a 3x5 foot flag and pole, sun screen, and dress according to the weather forecast. You must be self-sufficient all 3 days.

Any patches I'd have to explain to my 4, 8, and 11 year old grandchildren, please cover them with tape. Thank you.
