Postby 2in2out on Mon Apr 15, 2013 9:55 pm

MWCA gun show this weekend, and they have additional guests - the Northstar Blade Collectors. I also noticed that there's a military collectors show right down the street.

MWCA and Blade Collectors - Education Building
Saturday 8-5, Sunday 9-3

Military Collectors - Progress Center Bldg
Saturday 8-6, Sunday 9-4

If this is like last year - separate admission fees for each.
Nothing to see here. Continue swimming.

It was cold when we were setting up this afternoon but they were pumping heat into the north end of the bldg.
Of course, we'll be on the south side.
AND, the bathrooms are closed off because of the cold, so porta-potty's are out front.

Was helping the OldmanFCSA getting things together for display on Matt's Firearm's table.
Final tally came to about $9K of personal inventory he will part with this time to help pay for wife's treatments.
A nice 50CAL rifle was included in the mix of stuff.
Be sure to stop by and help Matt sell his inventory also.
I will be there, with the Oldman, sometime this afternoon.

Carry allowed - legally yes you can on the fairgrounds
Concerns -- during the fair, State Fair Police have said no carry in the past
MWCA Show - has a no carry sign posted, they want it unloaded and zip tied. (take that as you may)

Unless you want to. In which case, just don't tell them you are doing it.

Decent show. Saw some good deal\s, but nothing on my want or need list. Scored a pile of little stuff. Probably overpaid for a case of S&B 45ACP but it's good ammo, has great brass for relaoding, and now I don't have to worry about having enough 45acp to face the Zombie Apocalypse.

Stopped in Frotiersman and Gunstop o way home. Nothing came home but I was sorely tempted by a 2.5" P&R Model 19 ;)

Wow. We had the same day. Also picked up some ammo at the show. But I left the Frontiersman with a Mossberg 500.

Good show, I thought. Prices were still somewhat high overall, but well below the Rochester MWCA "panic prices" in January. I scored a few things at better than expected prices.

I was hoping the knife collectors would have more floor space, but it was nice to see them added to the show.
