I'm planning on it again. also trying to convince 3 of the newbies to come along. need to check details with my sister about when she's passing thru town - either to invite her along or to make sure she's NOT coming thru town at that time because we're trading vehicles!

I'll try to remember to post an update on numbers before Wed. evening! (but... :o )

Kind of looks like I will be up north, trying to get my share of this year's grouse harvest before the woods fill with deer hunters.

Dean-

Do you have any suggestions on where a guy not that familiar with downtown should park?

Downtown is kind of a mess. Are you coming in from Maple Grove on 94 or another way?

I'm coming from the west (Hwy 55, between 494 and 169). So, 55 and 394 are my usual routes from here.

I've had luck going 394 to the Washington ave exit, tuen East on Washington and come South on 2nd Ave S. I've generally found metered parking (~$4) on the Right side in the three blocks around Kiernan's

I'd say take 394 to the 6th Street exit,
Take 6th Street (drive under the HC building) to 5th Ave South and turn left,
And start looking for a meter on either side of the street.

You should end up with 3 blocks of Kieran's. Bring $3-4 in quarters for the meter.

There's a bunch of parking ramps, but they will all cost you more.

I should have mentioned earlier too, I am going up to Elk River Gun Club directly after lunch to sight in some rifles. If a couple guys wanted to tag along that would be fine with me. I probably will not be able to make it to the pistol range, but will probably sight in at 100 and then go run the pit for buddy who wants to sling a couple at 200, 300, and maybe even 400 yards. PM me. First responders are in.

don't sell yourself short - having a Magners when I have to be a good boy and go back to work makes you a bastard and a half!!! (not really, but it made for a good comment opportunity  )

see ya in an hour and a half (give or take a few)

edit: Dean - I remembered to at least bring the light to the office... now I just have to remember to grab it when I head for lunch!
