Disruptions / Protests
It is possible that our event tomorrow may see disruptions or counter-protests.
If you observe inappropriate behavior, an attempt to disrupt or cause a scene, or protestors approaching, please notify the nearest Event Marshal (green/yellow vests) or a State Trooper.
We have a solid security plan for tomorrow and have been coordinating closely with the Minnesota State Patrol for this event.
One of our volunteers will be operating a drone for aerial photography purposes - don't be alarmed when you see it flying about!
Firearms
It is perfectly legal to carry a firearm, handgun or long gun, open or concealed, at the State Capitol Complex as long as you have a valid Minnesota Permit to Carry. You do not need to provide any other notification to anyone.
However, it is illegal to carry a long gun into any of the buildings at the State Capitol Complex. You can have them on the grounds.
Weather
We're expecting partly cloudy and around 53 degrees (F) when Rob Doar, our Political Director, takes to the podium at high noon to kick things off tomorrow.
