February Downtown Lunch Poll

Postby DeanC on Fri Feb 13, 2009 2:27 pm

I just had lunch back at The Local. Their portions seem to be just as big as always instead of the now reduced size Kieran's portions. (I know, same owner, but go figure) I think with our 11:30 time we shouldn't have a problem reserving a table. How about we switch to The Local instead of Kierans?

I think the downtown lunch should be held in Bloomington. :)

I have yet to make any of these lunches, but I have always loved The Local's food.

No reason you couldn't start a South Metro lunch.

Step one: set a date
Step two: find a place
Step three: announce it
Step four: collect RSVP's
Step five: make a reservation
Step six: have lunch

You could also start a poll or two before step one and ask if anyone is:
1) interested
2) where they want to meet
3) what is regularly a good day of the month for all interested

It'd be more fun to hijack the downtown lunch. :)

I love the Local and it is much closer for 4 of us than walking 6 blocks

Local would be closer for me if I was still downtown, but now that I'm in Burnsville the Bloomington suggestion looks good! ;) ;)

(but I still reserve the right to pop in if I get a chance!!!)

Kieran's "new" lunch menu was a little disappointing. The Local's menu looks good.

As one who drives to get there, I'm curious how (bad) parking will be ?

If I have to walk a couple blocks .... do I need to keep my hand in my pocket ;)

Good place to park is the Lemington parking ramp which is only 2 blocks away or a number of street parking lots in the area near 10th and 3rd.
