Steel Shoot Update

Where = Gopher Campfire Club
When = Saturday 4/18/09
Setup = 08:30
Start = 09:30
Bring Gun, Holster, Ammo, (minimum 96 rounds) [Yeah Right], Extra Mags, Lunch, Libation, clothing for any kind of weather (this is MinneSnowta), A Safety conscious attitude.

We went out to view the range today, Highway 7 is open, watch out for the roundabouts, the range was dry and firm under foot, there should be no problems, barring a monsoon between now and then.

We shot a little bit today to rub the Winter rust off, I've included a couple of 15 round groups (no flyers) shot from 30ft as an encouragement to all! :D

Is the steel shoot broken up into calibers? Is there a minimum or maximum caliber? Does the shoot involve speed as well as accuracy?

No. 9mm-45ACP, typically. Absolutely.

I tends to be a fun only shoot, yes they time, but its much more fun and games than all else.

I am going to try and make it. I have a question about ammo. I saw on one of the pages from the club no jacketed ammo. I hope this was about rifle ammo.... all I have is jacketed 9mm military stuff.

More info appreciated.

Great, I will be driving in from Brooklyn Park. Looking forward to it. I think it has been about 8 years since I shot an IPSC style course.
