One thing I don't get is WHY the politicians keep referring to the Second Amendment & hunting?!?!?!? The 2nd Amendment has NOTHING to do with hunting, in reality.

You and I know that, but 99% of the general public doesn’t.

Maybe a marketing ploy to wake up the hunting community to the fact that they may loose their scatter guns and muzzleloaders? I know you know people that are segregated, they have no concern about handguns or the black rifle regulations, they think a lot of these things that are going on in the political arena don't affect them and their duck, pheasant or deer hunting.

You know, I think the very smallest minority of the outdoor community that are attacked the most are the trappers. I sometimes wonder if the firearm community could defend their rights with as much vigor as the trappers, I wonder what kind of results could be achieved. Yes, I know that on some fronts the trappers are losing, but on several they are not and from such a small group, maybe there is something to be learned from their efforts.

I'm pretty sure it was Huckabee that brought that up actually in another speech. I think it was posted here too.

OK, so he carries and supports the Castle Doctrine... That's a definate step in the right direction.

Yeah, but smoke in your car or eat at macdonalds, Huckabee will get you, even before his global warming does.
