Lets see McCain draw in 25000 people for a rally.....

I am reminded of a Simpsons episode with Kang and Kodos who try to take over the Earth, and subject humanity to not very nice things.

On one occasion, they impersonated Bill Clinton and Bob Dole and ran against each other in the 1996 election. The American people first declared that they would fight back by voting for a third party candidate, but Kang managed to convince them that doing so would be a waste of a vote and he was elected president

Part of that is the fact that Republicans have jobs. :)

Another part is the fact that McCain's a worthless POS.

If the republicans were fielding a worthwhile candidate, I don't think Obama or Hillary would stand a chance. Too many people hate Hillary, and Obama has a stack of issues lined up against him.

The problem with McCain, Clinton, and Obama is none of them have any real leadership experience. Romney ran the Winter Olympics (saved it from disaster, really), is governor of Mass, and his father was governor of Michigan.

Clinton was very close to the Presidency for two terms and the governor of Arkansas. I can see Glenn Beck's and Ann Coulter's point in feeling better about voting for Clinton over McCain.

I have a relly HUGE problem with career politicians - they hang around sucking off of the public tit and do absolutely nothing produtive or worthwhile.

Hillary is a bad egg - people dislike her for a reason - she is not trustworthy

Obama is an unknown quantity - he has done nothing worthwhile and is inexperienced I cant vote for him

McCain is worthless and is running on his one and onlyclaim to fame which has absolutely nothing to do with forwarding the public good. But I am grateful to him for his service.

I knew that this would happen MONTHS Ago - the republicans just dont have anyone willing to run that is wortha squirt of pee right now and that is going to slaughter us conservatives (speaking for myself)

I think that the reason that McCain did as well as he did is simple reognition of his ever present status in presidential races over the past 16 years. You put Condi up there for the republicans - you would have someone worth voting for

Condi For President !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Skilled at international Relations
- Smart as a whip
- Likeable
- Damn Talented and personable a self made woman
- Conservative
- Did I mention Smart

Hell I like her a lot - too bad she is too smart to run for president.

There are a lot of issues that I could quite frankly give a crap about in the long run it is all about the physical and economic security of this country and upholding the constitution as it was written and not nonsense like someones position on global warming or abortion - or anything at all like that.

Lets revive the constitution as it was meant to be - not as it has become - a shadow of its former greatness. A president shouldrun the government and stay the hell out of our lives and our wallets.

Lets start a Constitution Party - here is my position paper - written by people a lot smarter than any of us are.... Suck it

The established Constitution party isn't Constitution-specific. They want a friendly blending of the Constitution and the bible.

I have heard a lot of talk lately about a Conservative party. I've heard it locally and nationally.

This Government has morphed into something so out of control and overbearing I dont even understand it anymore.

Lets discuss this -

- If YOU were president where would you stand on issues?

Here is where I would stand:

1. Strict adherance to the constitution
2. Absolutely no foreign aid - time that the world stood on its own two feet.
3. Extreme tarrifs on imports to the USA (you want to do business with us - you are going to be fair to us or your biggest customer is going to go away)
4. You mess with us - you pay the piper and then we take your **** and annex your country
5. Immigration - you can come here - live and pay taxes for a certain period - you get no welfare - assistance - or any help whatsoever - opportunities abound - make the most of your limited time here because if you dont register - or dont have a job - or contribute in some positive way - you are GONE....
6. You committ a capitol offense - we fence off the bayou in LA and you get to live there ALA Escape from NY Style. Have fun with the gators
7. Child Sex offenders never get out of jail - ever
8. The Right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed - in any way.
9. Tort Reform
10. Term Limits for ALL Elected positions
11. Merit BAsed Pay for teachers
12. Maditory public service for all kids - military experience
13. You want to get $$$ for school - join the Military
14. Abolish the IRS - flat operational tax - anything left over gets RETURNED the government cannot make a profit.
15. WAL - MART will figure out how to run a national prescription plan - they can make it work.
16. Social Security Benefits are reserved for people that paid into the system - not immigrants that cannot speak the language.
17. Medicaid will be subsidized directly by countries that want to export products to the USA - tarrifs will run that program.
18. We drill Alaska Dry and tell the middle east to f-off
19.Labor unions - GONE
20. X-Presidents are BANISHED to a tropical island with no communications back to the USA.

That ought to get us started.

#7 assumes we have a perfect system and we don’t. Some adjustment has to be made and I see no mention of the death penalty.

#12 implies that the Government is involved in the education of children. I don’t have any and how kids are educated and how it’s paid for shouldn’t be up to the Government.

#18 assumes that oil is the only answer. I think if the Government left the market a lone companies would figure it out on their own and it wouldn’t take tax dollars to do it. E85 is a failure that has cost us a lot of money. I’m willing to bet that companies would be a lot more motivated if they took the monetary loss instead of the tax payer.

Those are the major parts we can work on the small stuff. How do we take this to the next level and on to world domination?

#12 - The good education of the children directly effects all of us now and in the future. Lets be reasonable - Govt does and should pay for education K-12

#18 - Oil is the only answer for now - Nuke power needs to be upgraded too - so the EPA and the Sierra Club get the AXE

#7 - The Death Penalty - what do you think that the Gators are for? A lifetime of miserable incarceration without the possibility of getting out should be more than enough. I am not a fan of the death penalty - I dont think that it works in its present form.

Re #2, Foreign Aid, properly done, has done more to help the nation than almost anything else. While helping nations stand on their own is ideal situation, there is far more to do with creating favorable conditions for american products than most see.

If you look at what a logical outcome of europe and japan post WW2 without the Marshall plan, and its pretty clear that may be the best money ever spent by the US. Likewise, for all the billions we spent in preparing to fight the soviet union in the cold war era, it was less then 200 million we spent giving aid to the taliban that brought down the corruption that was the Soviets. And us not spending a few million more to shore up good relations has cost us nearly 10 billion in a war there.

Immigration, we do not need any more people in the US, lets keep them out, but help them understand why we want them to stay home and work to improve their own nation.

Re 11. Kids are the most valuable resource, lets pay teachers like we believe in that. Have a national standards of basics all kids have to learn, Make daily Gym class, arts and music a requirement. All kids need to have math and science skills, and a healthy understand of history and politics. NO need for diversity classes or other wastes of money, because if taught correctly, kids will learn that the 442 combat brigade was the highest decorated unit of the second world war, and understand WHY that significant or who the Tuskeegee Airmen were and why that was groundbreaking. A teacher with a masters should be making a hundred grand a year. That will bring better people into the profession, and make it a job competed for.

re 18, Oil is the answer now only because we have walked down that path,

Oil is the best fuel available for automobiles, densest source of BTU's that is reasonable safe and portable, HOWEVER< for electric energy for other sources, oil/NG are not the best options by far. There are other ways, Nuclear is one option, but it has such serious downsides as to really need rethinking. Hydro has vast ecological effects which are hard to balance out, tidal hydro, geothermal, biomass, all have better upsides, as does using directed solar to drive fuel cells. In other words, if you do not have to have portable fuel, oil is a terrible way to do it.

Conservation and new technologies could cut domestic power use by upto 1/2. ONE HALF. something like 34 % of total electric usuage in this country is lighting. using CFL and LED technology it might be possible in the next ten years to drop that by 80% Newer forms of A/C can cut that usage by 50% or more, solid state cold plate technology already exists in european appliances and reduces the operating expense of a fridge by some 65%. Variable speed blowers in home HVAC units can save between 8 and 12 %, Upping the requirements for green roofs and better insulation can have a payback date of less than four years, Saving millions of BTU's of energy.

The country has plenty of energy, the allocation and distribution of that energy is the problem.

19, re Labor Unions, read up on the life of the worker before the coal wars, or the life expectancy of a mill worker in 1901, Unions have a role, a strong and healthy role in keeping big business from exploiting workers.

I think the biggest issue in american life is corruption, and moral decay. I have a friend who thinks political office should be like jury duty, a random number generator spits out ss numbers and you get a term in office just getting a term on jury duty, you get paid what you are making at your regular job, and thats it. Maybe a bit harsh, but it would seem to get a better chance at getting people who actually care about that nation.

I think that there should be limits on CEO and officer pay based on worker wages. I think you need to tie them together. EG, No CEO of a publicly held business can make more than say 25 times the lowest wage paid by the company. Bonus's can be paid, but are based on the performance of the company over the last x number of quarters, and must be tied to worker bonus's. This can be changed if the owner is principally involved in the ownership. That is, entrepreneurship is encouraged and rewarded. If you are at risk you are to be rewarded, but these CEO who come in and raid a company, make the stock look good for one or two quarters but have plundered the company to do so would leave empty handed.

Politicians who breech the public trust lose everything. jail time, but they lose all privately held assets. You take a bribe, get a cushy job for your wife doing nothing, rig a vote to purposely enrich friends at a loss to the nation, you go home broke.

McCain? There are huge obstacles that he will need to overcome to become the next President

- The democrats turned out at least 5:1 over rebpublicans at the caucuses
- McCain is a socialist on social issues, which alienates many republicans
- With no one to run against in the primaries between now and August, CliBama is going to get all the press in addition to all the media bias toward the dems

With all the people who will be doing write-ins or voting for a third party candidate, McCain will have little chance similar to what happened to daddy Bush in 1992 against Bill "the adulterer/liar/socialist" Clinton when Ross "Can I finish" Perot screwed things up

Better buy all the hi cap mags and "assault weapons" you can afford before they all become non-existent.
