Generation S?

Debra West has just coined a new term. Do you think it will catch on?

"This generation - call them Generation-S as in 'school slaughter'..."

Another notable line:

"They have been unable to tell their children that our nation has passed laws that will make it more difficult for the wrong people to get guns. It might not prevent future tragedies, but at least we could hold our heads high and say we tried our best."

Sure, gun control doesn't work, but we should at least be able to say we tried. It's the thought that counts!

The generation before theirs, clearly, has failed.

The generations before them have failed... but not in the way she means.

As for the Generation "S" thing, I'm more inclined to go with "D" for Debt, or "B" for Broke, which has a far higher probability to impact them negatively than a school shooting.

Crap. Apparently google news likes to pull up stuff from way back in the day. Lesson learned. Commence the stern reprimands. :poundon:
